It's like we're running through endless corridors, with a laughing prankster on our heels. Swinging away his sludge hammer. The more I look at it from over my shoulder, the less it seemed like an item used at a circus. The further we go, the more it feels as if time is catching up with us. Is Lucifer holding us for the fool? The darkness engulfed us, it's getting darker with each step. Just another corner. Like we've been swallowed in by a snake. Nowhere to run to. This lizard will eventually digest us whole. The hammer glazed my skin. Leaving a raw burn behind. Tiny drops of blood,visible above the abrasion. I gently touched my fingers towards the firey spot. Horror in my eyes. Fear stretched towards my face's solid details. My deep, playful dimples. My perky nose. My full, curved lips.
