Abrianna's P.O.V "You'll never be safe. I'll always find you." The beeping of my alarm clock wakes me up in a cold sweat, with much reluctance I crawl out of my warm and cozy bed before getting my feet caught up in the blankets. Tripping from the soft materials I fall and hit the floor. Quickly getting back I push myself up and walk towards my closet. My cheeks burning in embarrassment. Before I went to sleep last night, I wandered around the small cottage finding where things were and finding all the doors and cupboards were at. My hands shuffle around the decent sized closet to find a t-shirt and jeans. The material was soft against my skin. Deciding to brush my hair I started from the bottom and worked my way up. The brush flying through all the knots in my hair quickly. Once I was done I walked towards the front door and grabbed what I assumed was my school bag. The large straps fitting my shoulder as it nestled against my neck. Waiting for the alpha and luna I hum a quiet tune a dive into my thoughts. It's obvious she was back and no doubt would be looking for a fight. The images of war flashed through my mind, of the bloodshed and the smell of rotting corpses. My chest tightened as I imagined it happening again. The idea of everyone dying. And I’d be the one to blame, I’d be the killer even if I wasn’t the one who held th- “Abrianna?” A soft and fragile hand slipped into mine, her fingers brushing against my knuckles in a soothing manner. I could tell from this action alone that she was fit to be an alpha female. Without a doubt in my mind, I knew she’d be a good ally. “Are you okay?” I give a small smile and nod. “I’m a teacher at your new school, I’ll be teaching history.” With a loud laugh, I nod my head and she tugs me towards the car where she opens my door and allows me to crawl in. My hands grip the seatbelt as I tug it over my chest and listen for the click of safety just as she starts the car up. Laura and I had fun, she turned the radio up and blasted some music. All of which seemed unfamiliar. I’ve heard certain ones from loudspeakers walking down the beach or boats going over by with the radio but just sitting there and listening to it was an amazing experience. Soon we arrived and Laura helped me out gently. Her slender arm wrapping around mine. “This is mostly a werewolf and vampire school, every now and then we get transfer students of a different breed.” Her voice held mischief as she informed me of my current predicament. As we walked into the school I could hear soft whispers and loud yells. And if I wasn’t blind I knew all eyes would be on the new girl. Laura walked me to my new locker that was designed especially for me, was accommodated to my blindness more specifically. Which I was kinda grateful about. Getting my designated binder out of my bag, I begin shoving the rest on the top shelf and then tossing the rest on the bottom. Hearing the final bell ring I wince knowing I’ll be late on my very first day of school. With a soft sigh, I shut my locker gently careful not to make too much noise. Using my hands I began feeling for small signs to tell which class was what and which room number it was. Before I even get to the next door a pair of hands grip my bare shoulders and press me up against the brick wall. My chest tightens as a salty scent passes my nose. Was she here? No that’s impossible. A loud snicker passes from the person in front of me. "Get off me! Please? " I gasped, the person's arm was now putting pressure on my throat cutting off my oxygen. My chest constricted in fear before I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. My instincts kicking in. This was self defence, and deep down inside I knew that. Bringing my knee up to his crotch, the man’s grip loosened giving me enough time to break loose. I push against his chest and swing my leg to the back of his knees causing the teen to drop like a fly. Bringing my head down to his ear I whisper softly. “Training is a b***h, but when it comes to scum like you its all worth it.” With that I pushed him to the ground and walked towards my class, my fingers brushing against the wall once again. It didn't take long to find my class and then the ones after it. When lunch rolled around I found a kind and gentle girl by the name of Lyla, she helped me find my other classes. The day had passed by quickly, and almost without a hitch. Finally, last hour had rolled around and with the help of Lyla I found my classroom rather quickly. She helped me to an open seat then quickly made her way to her very own classroom. A gush of air entered through the window and once again I smelt the salty air of the ocean. Where was this coming from? We’re miles away from my home but yet I can still smell it. Something was wrong and I was going to figure it out. The class was filled with loud chatter as the final bell rang. The clicking sound of heels enter the room and slowly the talking began to simmer down. Laura’s loud, but calm voice, filled the decent sized room. It was soft and calming. “Alright everybody, since it’s only the second day of school we’ll be doing partner projects. Please do not move until I announce everyone’s names.” Slowly she began to announce names, and naturally being a new student my name was at the bottom of the roster. "Abrianna come here please." I got up and walked to towards Laura's voice. The knowledge of where the front desk was already engraved deep in my memory. Upon reaching the alpha female her small hand slips into mine almost naturally and tugs me over to who I assume was my partner. Closing my eyes to hide the glassiness that covered my eyes, Laura’s hand slipped out of mine and she spoke. "Lucas this Abrianna." I waved into the direction her voice projected to. And with that she walked away, her intense presence no longer present. "Hello, Abrianna." His voice sent shivers down my spine. Wanting to acknowledge Lucas I wave lightly and nod my head. A few seconds passed until his deep but attractive voice spoke again “Open your eyes, doesn’t matter to me if you're blind.” Cracking my eyes open I lower my head in shame until a pair of hands gripped my chin lightly, tipping it upwards in a delicate manner. “Class isn’t a great place to know each other. We can get some of the basics but not all of it.” I sat down at an empty desk, the sound of a chair being pulled up let me know I was in talking range of Lucas. We didn’t do much but we did get the basics covered just as Lucas said we would. “Can we meet up at your house today? The pack house is a little crowded.” Giving a quick nod I told him the address and the bell rang. Waiting for the class to leave, I slowly stand up and walk towards the teacher's desk again. My hands skimming over the cold wood. The sound of papers rustling went on for a few minutes and then stopped. Heels clicking and then a soft yawn told me it was time to go and that the day was officially over. Laura naturally drove me home and helped make some food before she left. Grabbing a book off of the shelf that the alpha’s had given me I curl onto the couch and swipe my finger of the braille lettering. I’m not sure how long I was reading for but an alarm went off telling me it was six o’clock. Both of the alpha’s helped set up this system. Soft alarms would go off every hour until nine and then at six in the morning to wake me up for school. Walking towards the bathroom I grab my hairbrush off the counter where I had previously discarded it making sure to get any new snarls and tangles out before Lucas got here. A series of loud knocks echoed throughout my small home. Walking to the door carefully with my hand against the wall I reach my destination quite easily and open the door. A cool breeze sweeping past me along with a kind voice. "Come on in Lucas." A small breeze passes me so I assume he walked in. Shutting the door I guide myself to the couch quickly and quietly and plop down onto it. “Ready to start?” GIving a shrug I ask the first question. “Are you a werewolf or vampire?” He shifts himself on the plush couch before responding. “I’m a werewolf. You?” Giving a soft laugh I answer back quickly. “Neither.” I could only imagine the confusion on his probably cute face. We kept going till I asked a question "What rank are you?" His voice held pride as he spoke "Soon to be Alpha." My shoulders slump as I give a soft laugh. ‘So this was her plan.’ shaking my head lightly I ask him “Laura and Jerme-” Cutting myself short I hear a laugh and it wasn’t Lucas. "Are you okay?" Lucas questioned. I nod. "Alright, so what I was say-." I heard the noise again. This time I knew I wasn’t imagining things. Someone was here. “Do you not hear it?” He gives a soft no. Standing up I motion for him to follow. "Hello, Abrianna." Gritting my teeth together I put my arm out and lightly shove Lucas behind me. This was not going to end well and I refused for him to get in the middle of what was my soon to be battle. "Serena. Leave now. There's nothing left to take." Silence sets for a minute, as if she actually considering it. But deep down inside I should have known better. "There's always something you could lose." She sneers. Serena's voice was cold, no emotion, just like I had remembered. With my body stiff, I bend my knees slightly giving me the opportunity to strike if I needed to. Not wanting to invoke her I keep quiet and decide to be offensive but Lucas has other ideas. The sound of bones cracking and a growl has me on an even higher alert. "Come at me doggie." Serena was one to taunt, she never enjoyed starting with the first move. It had worked too, one minute the feeling of fur was brushing against my leg and the next it was the gone, the sound of a low whimper took its stead. Not wanting him injured than he was I begin to yell and shout, my voice loud and demanding. Serena didn’t want him she wanted me. Within a split second, I had water slashing at her skin, no doubt leaving painful marks. "This isn't the end I'll be back." The sound of rain came telling me she had left through the now open kitchen window. "Lucas?" I whispered, my heart sped up as he didn’t respond. “Lucas!?” I asked even louder, and once again there was no response, the deafening silence scaring me for once. I never once heard his voice, the rain was the only thing that met my loud and terrified cries
