Chapter 4 Alex POV “Miss. Owens, we are pulling into campus now,” Mark wakes me. I stretch my arms and look around, taking in the campus as we drive towards my dorm.  I am not in the usual freshman dorm which confuses me a little, but Mark assured me that the Gamma’s daughter would be able to shed light on the reasons.  We park the car grabbing my bags and head towards this tall brick building.  It is a little ancient looking on the outside with vines in various places.  No vines are over the windows but in the areas with lots of detailed stone work one can see vines wrapped around them.    As we come up the cross walk I see a tall beautiful woman standing at attention waiting for us.  She has gorgeous long wavy dark hair, legs for days, perfectly round breasts and of course a curvy back side.  Yep, she is the perfect example of a shewolf born of a warrior.  Unlike myself with shoulder length brown hair and no extra curves to speak of.  She reaches out her hand towards Mark. “Hi, I’m Rebecca!” Smiling at him with a take me home glimmering smile.  I stifled a gag at how happy she was to see him.  “You must be Warrior Mark and Miss. Alexandra Owens of the Blood Red Moon Pack.”  Mark nods and shakes her hand.  Meanwhile I am still staring at her in disbelief.  As we both say nothing. She relaxes her smile “well let me show you to your room.” Mark helps me carry my bags up as Rebecca sashays her perfect behind down the hallway in front of us.   I look at Mark and he just smiles at me with knowing eyes.  It has always annoyed me how shewolfs shamelessly flirt with warriors of rank.  I mean seriously.  I get it he is a good looking guy dripping with warrior intrigue but really when you first meet before the man even speaks.  Okay, so maybe I am a little over sensitive, but Mark is Mated to my Mother’s best childhood friend.  At the very least as a representative of her pack she could have more class.  I thought to myself and just then I almost ran right into her.  It seems she had stopped abruptly, while I was ranting in my head.  Oh what a great way to start off the year.  ‘Best watch where you are going Miss. Owens.’ Mark mindlinks me.  I roll my eyes at him. Rebecca turns around pointing to a door to her left.  “Here you are, room 236.” She handed me my key, as Mark thanked her for her assistance she went to walk away and turned back slightly. “Oh, Miss. Owens we will have a floor meeting Friday at 6pm. K.”  I nod and let her sashay down the hall to her room.  Rolling my eyes at Mark as he chuckles.  I unlocked my door to hear a loud crash as my new roommate was disrupted by us entering the room unannounced.  She basically fell over from jumping at the unexpected noise.  She smells similar to Rebecca so I assume they are from the same pack.  Looking at both Mark and I she says, “Um, hey!” “Hey,” I say with a nervous edge, as the girl gathers herself from her state of shock. “Um, yeah, sorry I was just dancing and did not hear you come in” she says as she takes her headphones down off her ears. “My name is Alice but you can call me Ali.” “Hi Alexandra, but you can call me Alex.” “Sweet the double As. I love it.” She motions to Mark, “Is he staying too?” I chuckle, “No, he is just dropping me off.  Making sure I arrive in one piece and all.” Ali chuckles at my joke.   I turn to thank Mark for his help.  He nods. “Miss. Owens, Ali” closing the door behind him as he leaves. “Hey, did he just say Miss. Owens as in Alpha Owens of the Blood Red Moon Pack?” “Oh, so you have heard of it.” “Yeah, who hasn’t.  He is one of the fiercest Alpha’s.  All the stories we heard as children of him taking out Hunters left and right.” I bow my head low as I am reminded of the tirades my father went on after the incident, as people refer to it now.  It took him years to relax.  No one remembers anymore but our pack name was originally the Red Moon Pack.  But after everything happened our pack was coined as the Blood Red Moon Pack from all the bloodshed my father spilt looking for the men that hurt us.  It took him even longer to let anyone from the pack that was not escorted by at least two warriors leave pack grounds. “Oh I am sorry I didn't mean to hurt your feelings.” I looked up at her with a small smile “it is alright.  You did not hurt my feelings.” I said as I turned towards the bed and started to unpack my bags.  Alex sat quietly staring at me while I unpacked.  I took her in, out of the corner of my eye.  She was taller than myself, but not by much, maybe 5’6” as I am just over 5’4”.  She has darker red hair that reminds you of red velvet cake honey brown eyes with pale skin.  She must have been analyzing me too as she spoke again. “I really meant no harm earlier.” I sighed “It is okay.  Just bad memories.” “Oh, sh*t I am sorry.  Now that you say that I do recall something about his wife and daughter being attacked by hunters.” I nod again “Yep.” Popping the P.  “Alpha’s Daughter.” Waving at her sharply. “D*mn girl.  I just keep stepping in it, don’t I?  Let me start again.  Hey, I am Ali, your new roommate.  Nice to meet you.” I smile as I sit in my bed. “Alex, nice to meet you.” Taking in my surroundings.  We have completely different tastes.  Ali is bold with color and lots of cutting edge fashion, while I am simple into pink and pastels reminding myself of a princess from the movie.  I look at Ali sizing her up a little. “So Ali, can I ask you a question?” “Yeah, ask away.” She states as she sits on her bed across the room looking for me to speak. “What is the deal with Rebecca?” I must have said something funny because Ali almost rolls off her bed. “You mean the glimmer smile and the ass sashay?” “Yeeeesssss! What is up with that? And seriously, how do you get your smile that shiny?” Ali giggles some more and stands to imitate Rebecca.  We both fall over laughing.   “Yeah she does that to all the warriors and higher ranking wolves.” Ali states as she rolls her eyes. “Honestly I would wonder if she even cares about finding her mate, she seriously wants Alpha Aaron’s son for herself.” We continued talking for a while before we headed downstairs for dinner.  Ali is one of four kids, 2 boys and 2 girls. She is the second oldest with her brother Romand, a warrior that is in charge of keeping us safe while on campus.  Her two younger siblings are twins, 11 years old.
