The return to the penthouse was silent. Between Andreas’ usual composure and Kelly’s nervous anticipation, there was not a word said. The doors of the elevator opened to reveal the luxurious interior and Kelly all but bolted inside. She tripped on her dress and would have fallen had it not been for Andreas’s quick reflexes.
“Easy,” he told her softly, his breath fanning her ear, making her shiver.
“Thank you,” was her hushed response before she disentangled herself from his gentle hold. The tingles were giving her a hard time getting words out.
“Is there something you’d like?” He asked as they walked into the living room.
