Prince Claud and  princess Amelia sat in front of the greenhouse for an hour at most,  chatting every once in a while but most of all, enjoying the peace and  serenity of their surroundings. Neither of them dare speak in fear of  disturbing the other and the animals gave them their space, happy to  see their leader talk or smile with someone else as well. "It's so quiet here." The prince hummed in  reply earning himself a smile from the princess who was much closer than  she previously was. The breeze had turned colder and Claud was having  all the thoughts in his mind about what to discuss with Ace later but,  for now he sat enjoying her presence. Another sudden rush of  wind warned Claud of his brother's mood and grumpily he stood up making  the princess glance at him in question. "We should head back." Nodding the princess  took his extended hand and pulled herself up. Surprisingly the princes  hand was warm and he didn't mind lending the princess his jacket as they  walked back. The princess buried her cold hands deep into the leather  jackets comforting pockets and noticing this act of adorableness the  prince smiled. Soon enough the breeze  began to pick up and the prince felt his own hands growing colder by the  moment. He cursed His brothers out for doing whatever they did to piss  Ace off because the air sure as hell held his intention to kill. He  shivered as another rush of wind hit both of them, the princess  acknowledged this and held his hand into her warm one before digging  both of their hands into the jackets pocket. If the prince had been  kind enough to share his jacket in such a breezy weather, especially  when he wore only a t-shirt beneath it. The princess could be kind  enough to share some of the warmth she was receiving. They continued  walking in comfortable silence till the mansion came in view. "I wonder what made the weather change?" The princess muttered glancing at the prince for an answer. He only nodded in reply because he already knew the answer. Someone had managed to piss Ace off. The prince removed his  hand from the pocket before opening the door for the princess and as  soon as they entered, unbelievable silence greeted them. They had only  been out for an hour hadn't they? The princess slowly  removed the jacket from herself and thanked the prince handing it back  to him. The prince took it back with a smile and tossed it at the back  of a couch as the temperature in the mansion was pretty normal. "Where do you think everyone went?" "No idea, I'll go check on them you should return to your room." Prince Claud suggested. "Are you sure?" "Yes your highness." With a final answer the  princess walked out of the room ,through the hallway to reach the second  staircase which was closer to her room than the other one. The silence  confused her, where had the princes gone? And why was the weather so  cold? All the questions once  again rammed her brain making her sigh as she spotted the staircase.  Slowly and carefully she began climbing the stairs and was relieved to  hear footsteps coming from the top of the staircase. Though as she approached  she realized that the steps were faltered, they were uneven and soon  enough a prince came into view. He had a frown etched across his face  and was stumbling as he tried to step down the stairs. The princess  carefully approached him to see who it was and as the prince turned his  muffled senses picking up the sound of footsteps behind him. He lost his footing  falling right on top of the princess who hissed as her back made contact  with the soft carpet covering the stairs but nearly blacked out when  her brain registered the sharp pain that pierced through her neck. Her  gaze grew hazy and her body felt heavy as the prince lifted himself up  and stared down at her in shock, blood dribbling down his chin. Had he  bit her? Was the last thought the  princesses brain could register as she succumbed to darkness. Ace  continued to stare down at her in shock, what the hell just happened?  Barely a moment ago his senses weren't working, he couldn't move or  control his body the way he wanted and now it was as if she had just  slapped the sober back into him. The mark that rested at  her neck made him glare at the carpet beneath them in rage. How could a  fall possibly result in him marking her? He was sure to get an earful  from his mother. But before that he had more important things to do,  such as finding his brothers, transporting his blacked out mate to his  room and tracking down whoever had the guts to drug them and killing  whoever it was. He slipped his hands  under her body and carried her up to his room. It was calmer at his side  of the mansion as his brothers knew the trouble pissing Ace off would  land them in. He gently nudged the door open with his foot and softly  closed it behind them so he doesn't wake her up. He laid her down in his  bed before tucking her in and heading out in search of his brothers. He needed to inform Jack  of the incident and the matter couldn't wait as it was too important.  He quietly walked around the place in search of them until he stumbled  upon Claud who seemed completely normal. "You made the air colder." Claud stated with his eyebrows furrowed. "We were drugged." Ace replied as Claud stared at him confused. "Then how are you normal?" "Long story short... I have a mate." Prince Claud's eyes  nearly fell out of their sockets at the princes words and the only  person he could think of at that moment was princess Amelia. "You bit her!" "I fell and mistakenly marked her. There's a difference." "But now she's your mate, she doesn't even know that we're vampires!" Prince Claud groaned making Ace roll his eyes at his antics. "Where are the others?" "I've dragged them to their rooms and told the guards to call the doctor." Claud responded making  Ace nod in approval. Out of all of his other brothers Claud acted a bit  more sensibly in situations like this, and it made him all the more  reliable for the princes. After a while the doctor walked inside the living room to find both the princes sitting there waiting for him. "Good morning your highness." "Evening." Claud replied making the doctor blush. "Yes I apologize, evening, where I'm coming from it's still morning." Both the princes gave a  tired nod before leading him to their brothers. The doctor- witch  doctor. Quickly woke prince Levi up and prince Levi in turn sped up the  process by waking up his other brothers. As jack woke up he glanced  around at all his younger brothers in silence . "What happened?" "I'm afraid the latest desserts you ate were drugged." The doctor spoke up making Jack nod. "No wonder there arrival was off time." The doctor gave the  princes clear instructions about the drug and it's dosage and how to  deal with its side effects while prince Ace sat in his room staring at  his mate. He now had a mate, he didn't have any problem with that fact  but he now had an oblivious mate complicated things. He wouldn't  mind telling her and was already prepared for her reaction but he wasn't  prepared for his brothers reactions. They could be pretty dramatic at  times and he always ended up annoyed by their drama. Sighing he stood up and walked into the living room to find the doctor. "There's another person you have to check on." The doctor nodded while the princes stared at him in shock. "What happened to Amelia? s**t, mom's gonna kill me." Jack heaved a sigh of irritation, their enemy had harmed Amelia as well? Why would they possibly do that. "She fainted... after I marked her." The silence that fell on  the Room was both deafening and suffocating as none of the princes knew  what to say. You get only one mate during your whole life which has to  be lived according to the category of Vampire you belong to. They  belonged to the royal vampire category and had it harder than many  others. Prince jack sighed before asking for the whole story which Ace relayed through their telepathic link. "We need to track down the culprit." "I'm afraid we can't do that your highness, not by magic or investigation as a barrier is in place." The guard spoke up making them sigh as Holland turned to his brothers and asked the dreaded question. "How will we explain every thing to her?"
