Amelia parted her eyes slowly, one right after the other and winced when the sunlight peering in through the curtain pierced her cornea. A small sting on her neck made her groan as the incidents of the last night went through her mind. Ace had drank from her, now she knew what the doctor meant when he said that the first few times would hurt. The question was. how many times? She sighed before rolling over and coming face to face with a sleeping prince Ace. Her breath got caught in her throat as she took some time to realize who it was and then sighed in relief. Ace seemed to be sleeping peacefully, his eyes were closed and his black hair a slight mess, his lips didn't hold even a tint of blood as evidence for the actions of last night. She couldn't even blame anyone as she herself had agreed to Aces request to let him drink from her. She slowly reached out to settle down the small puff that had formed on top of Aces head but instead found herself suddenly flipped over and pinned to the bed. Again. "Ace?" She called out in question as the prince slowly opened his eyes and immediately released her with an apology. The princess didn't think much of it, instead she focused on the fact that Ace didn't let his guard down. Not even when sleeping. "It's okay, where did you learn to defend yourself in your sleep?" Ace sighed, laying back down at the bed and after a while of carefully rephrasing his reply he answered. "Some circumstances led me to build the habit." The princess nodded not pursuing the topic anymore, silence fell on the room as the both of them didn't say a word and simply stared at the ceiling. Surprisingly for the princess, Ace decided to be the one to put an end to the dreadfully awkward atmosphere. "About last night..." "It's nothing to worry about, I don't feel much pain." The Prince sighed before turning towards her and propping his head up on his hand. He stared at her for a small while and then spoke up. "You seem a little pale, are you sure you're okay?" The princess nodded before noticing the deep stare that the prince seemed to be giving her. Why was she suddenly growing flustered? A small smile graced the princes lips and the princess felt butterflies explode in her stomach. oh no... She excused herself quickly and rushed into the princes washroom leaving an amused Ace behind. She splashed water at her face before leaning against the opposite wall of the gigantic washroom. Her hand clutched her stomach in fear. What had they eaten yesterday... She took a small bath and as soon as she stepped out of the bath, realization of the fact that she hadn't brought clothes along struck her. Did she have to ask Ace now? Wow... So much for not embarrassing herself. Before she could call for prince Ace a knock on the door interrupted her and Ace spoke up from the other side. "would you like me to hand you your clothes your highness?" She had never felt so embarrassed yet relieved at the exact same time. The fact that she had forgotten something as important as her clothes was... just plain out silly and she didn't want to be dubbed silly. Spotting a smaller robe hanging beside Aces larger one, she slipped it on and let her hair down before slowly opening the door. She could tell that the prince was holding back something but she couldn't pinpoint what. When her eyes landed on the clothes in his hand her cheeks heated up. Why did he have to see her undergarments again?! She felt bad for both of them as both of them were extremely embarrassed. However, in her flustered state she wasn't able to notice the way that Ace had scanned her form head to toe. His eyes drinking her appearance in, he blamed the weird urge on the mate bond and forced his stirring beast down. She reached out reluctantly and wrapped her hand around the clothes properly as prince Ace let go and cleared his throat before stepping back and away from the door. Amelia closed the door, her heart hammering in her chest, she sighed and hung the clothes up before slipping her robe off. She dressed herself up and brushed her hair out of her face before stepping out of the washroom, to find prince Ace lost in thought as he laid on his bed, eyes up at the ceiling. The prince spotted her and gave a small smile, the princess returned it trying to be strong. Throughout her whole bath she had felt the urge to lay down and rest her body. She felt oddly exhausted and it simply confused her because after all she had spent the whole night sleeping. The prince rushed to catch her as she lost her balance and stumbled forward. "You haven't taken the pill right?" The princess shook her head as a no, her eyes seemed to be glazed over making him sigh as he lifted her up. He laid her down on the bed before moving to his dresser. A small while of rummaging later, he emerged with a bottle of pills in his hand. He exited the room and entered with a glass of water, he popped a pill out of the bottle and into his hand before leaning towards the now seated-against-the-headboard princess. She brought her shaking hand up to grasp the pill but the prince shook his head and urged her on to open her mouth. Shyly she followed his instructions and parted her lips, Ace slowly and carefully slid the pill in between them and then raised the water of glass up to her lips. She took a few sips and felt the pill go down her throat, it only took a matter of seconds for her head to start spinning and her body to feel as if she had been crushed under a boulder. She groaned in pain reaching up to cup her head but the prince caught her hand making her let out a small whine. "Its the pill taking affect Amelia, just hold on, okay?" The princess gave a reluctant nod gripping onto the bed sheets by her side in pain. The prince sighed. "If a distraction is served while she is taking the pill for the first time, and she forgets about the affects its causing her. She can recover quickly and the pills side affect won't be prominent whenever she chooses to take them again." The doctors words rang in his mind as he took a small but deep breath and leaned down beside her ear. "You're okay." The princess shook her head as a no, her world was spinning and even when she closed her eyes the unbearable dizziness won't go away. She felt the bed dip and forced her eyes apart to find prince Ace on top of her. Her eyes glanced across his shoulder and back up to the spinning ceiling making him call out to her. "Focus on me Amelia, look at me..." The princess glanced at the prince as he held her stare, his image began to clear in her head and she could see him clearly now. But as soon as she glanced at the ceiling again she groaned in pain, the world began spinning again. The prince chuckled softly before tilting her chin towards himself. "Eyes on me." The princess gave a small nod and after a small while the pain dissipated, she sighed in relief and glanced at the worried looking prince. "I'm feeling okay now." He gave a small smile and moved off the bed, towards his closet. He took out a pair of black skinny pants and a white shirt, then disappeared into the washroom. The princess took the chance to analyze her surroundings. Aces room was white, not the pure one that often hurt the eye, rather a slightly darker shade which matched perfectly with his dark brown furniture. A dresser, a king sized bed, a rug, a chandelier, a balcony, a walk-in closet and a washroom. His ginormous room looked even more spacious with the small number of furniture inside it. The dresser was settled close to the Walk-in closet, the dark brown rug was laid right in front of his huge bed. She had only now taken the time to notice the soft velvet dark brown duvet that laid on top of the white sheets on his bed. Everything seemed to be perfectly matched, from the color to every last piece of furniture that she could see. Her eyes then went to the clothes that he had picked out for her and she was currently wearing, she chuckled understanding why the whole room was filled with only those two colors. Her attire consisted of a loose brown shirt that would easily fall over her shoulder and a tight white pant. She smiled knowing that she had just the converse to go with it. Even though she felt way better, she didn't move out of bed instead she chose to wait for Ace. As prince Ace walked out he was slightly shocked to see that the princess had waited for him. He passed her a polite smile before stepping out of his room with her. She immediately rushed to her own room making his brows furrow as he followed her, a little worried that he might have done something wrong. As he stopped outside her door he couldn't help but chuckle at her childish and adorably innocent expression. She had completed the look by pairing it up with a pair of white and brown converse. A small permanent smile found its way onto his lips as he led her now energetic self to the dining hall.
