13. Piece of Darkness and the Mark.

Saint Augustus walk towards the crystal with the help of sheriff. He bend down to pickup the crystal, but he jolt back with extreme burning sensation on his hand. And his mind got hit by every possible horrible and dark memories. He feeling hollow, worthless and helpless. Somehow he managed to compose himself.

“It is a piece of Darkness, It would be better for us to not touch it right now.” Saint Augustus said in alarming tone.

Everyone stared at him and nodded in understanding. Everyone went inside the house. Saint Augustus was well aware that the piece of Darkness would attract evil powers towards it. But there was no power left in him to be able to build a protection shield around it.

“ Joe you just go and bring Lisa Ankaara here. We don't have much time please hurry up.” Saint Augustus said in low voice resting in the wooden chair.

When Joe arrived there, he felt suffocated. No one was in that house, Just the wooden box and the note were placed on the table. He took it along and left for home.

Akira's body was still red, Mrs Myron was sitting near bed side, applying medicine on her bruises. Mr Myron and Sir Nicolsan were looking after Dr Star and Saint Augustus. Dr star and Saint Augustus were looking dull and weak, as if someone had drained all of their energy. They were both trying to move, But were unable to move due to fatigue and body ache. Mr Myron brought food and water for both, And the medicine Dr Star had asked them to give, he gave it to them. After half an hour, they started feeling relaxed.

Joe also returns shortly, but without Lisa Ankaara. This was not a good news for Saint Augustus. Not letting Joe speak, he said in furious tone clinching his jaws “ Where is She...???? Why didn't she come along with you..”

“ When I reached at her place, no one was there ,and i felt strangely suffocated.” Sheriff Joe said avoiding Saint Augustus piercing glare.

Then Saint Augustus turned his attention to the wooden box he held. Joe hand it over to saint Augustus with the hand written note from Lisa Ankaara.

He opened the note, “ I'm sorry but it's not time for us to meet in-person, By the time you are reading this note, I must have gone far away from these place. To save piece of Darkness from The Master. I created an illusionary trap inside my house. And after that he would definitely come after me, so I had to left that place. You must be thinking that I should have come to your place, But the most important thing is to keep Akira safe from everyone, even from your court members and king Albert. She will be out of danger with all of you. In this wooden box, there is a special crystal jar that will shield and subdue the power of piece of Darkness. Don’t touch it with your bare hands Otherwise it will cause confusion in your mind. Lift that piece of Darkness with mud and water through the crystal jar, and also add the ashes from the fire. All four elements will weaken its power. And then seal it with a blue crystal cap and hide it in a safe place forever. You have to do all this quickly as my trap won't stop them for long. – Lisa Ankaara.”

On reading this, he opened the wooden box and took out the crystal jar and blue crystal cap from it. Without saying a single word to anyone, he went to the backyard with both things. Seeing him in hurry, they all followed him in backyard.

Saint Augustus bend down on his knees, picking the piece of Darkness directly through jar, collecting all remaining particles of four elements (i.e water mixed in mud and ashes from the fire) of purification process from the ground. He sealed that jar with blue diamond shaped crystal and cast a strong powerful spell on it, The others could not touch it after the spell.

“ What are you doing with that tiny jar.” Sheriff Joe asked out of blue.

“ This black crystal is left after purification with holds the most evil powers of supreme crystal, And because there was nothing to shield it, It works itself as a source to grab the attention of the Master. To prevent it from evil, I kept it in this crystal jar which will act as protection shield.” He explained to everyone.

“We need to keep it safe from others reach, And no one can touch it, so i casted a strong powerful spell on the jar. If it falls in the wrong hands, then there will be havoc.” Saint Augustus said with sincerity to keep it safe.

“ But where to store this box to keep it safe...?????” Sir Nicolsan asked thinking calmly.

“ Such place exist only in the Castle.” Saint Augustus replied in flat tone, As he can’t keep it there, Because no one can keep anything there without the permission of the king nor can withdraw anything from there. And it is very difficult to persuade Albert, He can't put Akira at risk.

“ Come with Augustus, I know such a place.” Sir Nicolsan said in enthusiastic manner, As he remember that There is a secret room in his own house, Which has a protected storage box in it.

Both Saint Augustus and Sir Nicolsan left the farm house, Both of them were in the secret room of his house after an hour, Which was located in the middle of the library, Due to the different design of the shelf no one could find that room by themselves. They kept the wooden box as it is in the protected storage box which was hidden in the huge statue of his ancestors.

Dr Star examines Akira after the purification process, Right now she looked so calm and cool. Her body was also relaxed, And she was sleeping comfortably hugging a soft pillow in her cosy bed. It seemed as if all her problems were over. She had a smile her face after a large number of days. Likewise, the weather was also prefect and relaxing.

“Is she okay...???” Mrs Myron asked with concerned eye’s, Mr Myron was waiting for the Dr Star to speak, his hand resting on small portion of his wife’s shoulder for comforting her.

“She seems fine, only minor bruises.” Dr. Star said with big smile plastered on his face.

"When will she come to her consciousness..” Mr Myron asked in low nervous tone.

“I can't say anything clearly about it....” Dr Star said While examining the right leg of Akira, Where the black mark first started spreading on her body. He stared at her ankle in amazement, He noticed that there was no mark before, But now she has the mark sun and half moon on her Ankle. That looks like a tattoo. He was about to speak something, but Sheriff Joe interrupted him in between by coughing loudly in the room.

He frowned towards Joe and He told everyone about the mark on Akira’s right ankle.

Myron couple get panicked after seeing that mark on her Ankle. They knew that, Akira just got this mark from her first ancestors. And they did not want anything bad to happen to her from now onwards.

Saint Augustus eyes gone wide in shock and Sir Nicolsan mouth went wide open in surprise. Both of them were staring at the mark without blinking there eyes. After few minutes they both look at each other with questioning look.

“Is she again in any kind of danger...????” Mrs Myron asked shedding tears of sadness. She was just wondering why her little angel is having so much trouble at her age.

Without uttering anything, Saint Augustus move towards Akira, And he touched her right ankle to examine her mark by using his sensing power. He zoned out for a while. Then he turned and spoke softly. “The mark of the sun is a blessing from Aine, And the half moon sign is from Aibek to showing his sister that his part also exist in her. Nothing to fear, now Akira will get both of their powers in her. It depends on Akira who she wants to be like in future, Aine kind hearted, loving and caring or Like Aibek ruthless, evil and could.”

“ Do not worth Mrs Myron, I know you will raise Akira very well. She will do much better than Great Aine Artino.” Sir Nicolsan said showing his believe in Akira and Myron couples.

“ You lost your only child because of her. And even then, both of you are seeing Akira as your own daughter. You have a big and clear heart. Akira is very lucky. And she will become a good person just like you.” Saint Augustus said with small smile admiring their bond.

The room had a nice atmosphere after a long time, Everyone was smiling and chatting with each other without having any kind of argument.

That night everyone slept comfortably in that house. Except Saint Augustus and Sir Nicolsan, they had strange nightmares, Because they touched the black crystal “piece of Darkness”.

They saw how the master was torturing the people, animals and even souls of dead to reduce his anger.

Both did not know that now they have to live with this strange dreams, like Akira. It was a boon and curse for both of them. They were getting to know more things about the Master of Darkness.
