A week before the present..
"Settle down." Miss Sevee said, walking into the classroom.
The students quiet down while Sevee started writing on the board.
"Today, we're going to tackle the country's history and origins." Miss Sevee said while the students sighed.
"Haa? Do I hear students who want to stand outside?" She threatened.
"We'll start with.. hmm..Miss Ainsley." Sevee said as all heads in the room turned to Blythe.
"Can you name one of the four continents or countries of this world? and their current situations and hierarchy." She asked.
"Okay. Hmm.. The first one and the largest one is the country of Avansur which is where we are now. It's the most advance country among the four. Originally, divided and was in war for over 300 years. Only earlier this year is the country trying to welcome peace in the land. The demons occupy the South while the humans occupy the North. There are currently 4 races considered as superior to other demons.
1st: Dragon demons - They have ruled the demon kingdom even before the war began. Known to have the most wise minds among all demons.
2nd: Flugels - have wings as their main weapon. Their part of the kingdom floats about the lands of the demons.
3rd : Foxtails - Known for their speed during battle. Are known to be loyal and are respected as high ranks in the battlefield.
4th : Elves - Known for their wits and charm. Their land establishes farms and goodies that are delivered to every part of the kingdom.
There was once a 5th race but they were extinct after the 114th battle by the bay. The Shape-shifters. Although, all data about them has been lost for centuries, some facts and stories tell that they were great manipulators. They even sat once in the throne during the Edon period when the humans were losing a lot of battles. Their extinction was caused by an unnatural disease that only affects them.
Other races like the orcs and goblins lay on the lower tier of the kingdom but have been a big help to the development of the lands and have been helping out as soldiers in battle. Strong individuals from their race are considered champions. Champions can compare to that of the Heroes of humans."
"Wow. you sure have read your demon history." Miss Sevee complimented making a huge smile on Blythe's face.
"But how about the human race?" Sevee followed up. Blythe's smile froze.
How the heck am I suppose to answer!? All I've read in the palace library are books about our kingdom! Wait.. wasn't there a group of soldiers attacking Papa's territory before? I heard its name but...
"T-the H-Helvens...?" Blythe guessed.
"Miss Ainsley, if you'd only listen in class you would know that we still have to take up that lesson today. Please stop sleeping or the hot sun waits as your date for today, okay?" Sevee smiled widely at Blythe who just giggled.
"Unlike the demon kingdom, the humans only have two branches. The Helvens that are closer to the boarders and the Licht who are far from the boarders. The Helvens are the ones who form battalions and soldiers while also molding future heroes like this Academy. The Licht, however, is in charge of the agricultural benefifs and businesses of the lands. They manufacture weapons and armors used in battles. They are responsible for the development of new magic. They are also in charge of communicating with other countries for the exchange of goods and other necessities that the country lack." Sevee explained.
"Why can't they just produce the goods that they get from other countries themselves?" Vivien asked.
"Good question. We'll get right to that after someone tells me about the other 3 countries of the world."
"Esberg, Galland, and Slythene.
Esberg - the country mainly focuses on agriculture. They have the smallest population among the four. Both demons and humans get to live equally in the country which is what Avansur wants to acheive.
Galland - the country of divinity. The people's magic is reliant on their religion and gods. The demons that reside in the country are those that lack cognitive abilities and tend to attack humans when they see one. Thus, guilds are very popular in this country. After the peace treaty in Avansur, most heroes have migrated here because of the increase of demands for heroes.
Slythene - Not much is known about the country. They have built a barrier system that does not allow information about them to go out of their lands. You can still visit the country but you are escorted and limited to the places you visit." Taka said, responding to the professor.
"But what does that have to do with the goods?" A random student asked.
"Each country has their own unique capabilities. Some products can only be made with soil and weather from one specific country. In order to help each other, the exchange of goods allows diversity in armory, food, clothes, and other things we need daily."
"Our class ends for today. I hope you all learned something and please don't forget to pass your project by the end of this week." Sevee said.
"Damn, today's lesson sure was cool."
"Yeah, I hope everyday is a lecture like this."
"Meh. it's alright."
Students murmured and talked as Sevee exited the class.
"Blythe, are you okay?" Taka asked her as she stared blankly at the front.
"Cool.." She said under her breathe.
"Blythe...?"
"This world... is so much cooler than I thought!" she said with excitement, nearing Taka's face.
Taka blushed at how near she is.
"Someday.. I wanna explore the world." Blythe said as she stood up and looked above.
"And how are you gonna do that?" Taka said while cleaning up his desk.
"It'll come to me. I feel it. And when that happens, do you wanna tag along with me?" Blythe said with a smile up to her ears as she reached out her hand to Taka.
Taka was speechless. He smiled warmly at her, accepting her hand.
"Yeah, that sounds nice."
