Silver’s POV
I stood beside Lucian like an obedient slave as he signed the papers that gave him the right to own me. Tears were flowing nonstop from my eyes as the reality that I was now a commodity dawns on me. As if it was not enough to be rejected by my mate, I was now being sold to the most ruthless Alpha in the country.
It wasn’t for a cheap price at least. It showed that he didn’t think of me as worthless. If I were to be honest, I wouldn’t buy me for that amount. I certainly didn’t worth that much.
“You’re going to be a slave to the Richest pack in the country. Smile, Sister. Not everyone gets this blessing.” Tiffany whispers in my ears while Alpha Lucian finishes up with the paper work that was being signed by the pack Alpha.
My father stood by the side, watching this happen with a smile on his face. He was finally getting rid of me and for a good price at that. It was better than just throwing me out and not gaining anything in return.
I heard Alpha Damien talk about splitting the money between my father and the pack since I was his daughter. That explained the joy on his face. Mother had been informed of this and came to see for herself. Her eyes held regret an pity as she watched them sell me off but there was nothing she could do.
“Let’s go.” Alpha Lucian grabs my arm harshly as he pulls me out of the pack house. I take one last look at the people I once called my family as they sold me with smiles on their faces, relief evident in their expressions.
The cursed witch was finally gone. They must be so happy.
Perhaps, It was best leaving this way. At least, I knew that I would have a roof over my head and food to eat. The downside of leaving with Alpha Lucian was still unknown to me but at least, it was better than living on the streets.
“Get in.” He says as one of his men opens the door to his luxurious car and I get in. I couldn’t afford to disobey him, especially now that he owned me.
‘ owned me ’. It sounded so wrong and unreal but that was my reality. I was now a slave to Alpha Lucian and didn’t have a life of my own.
I was seated beside Alpha Lucian Leone Rossi in a car, the most ruthless and powerful Alpha in the country. Goodness! If someone had told me that my life would take a drastic turn so suddenly, I would’ve never believed it. It would have been better if it was a good turn though but this was worse than bad.
Neither of us said a word to each other as we journeyed though the city. The silence was eerie and disturbing. I had so many questions to ask but I didn’t want to offend him so I just shut up.
“You have something to say.” He states as though he read my mind. I was shocked that he even wanted to have a conversation with me. Maybe he wasn’t as bad as he was rumored to be.
Taking a deep breath, I open my mouth to speak. “Why?” I say the first thing that comes to my head.
“Why did you buy me?” I ask, clearer this time. My eyes were glued to the road as I spoke, careful not to turn as he was seated just beside me.
“You heard them. You could have gotten any other woman you desired, including my sister, so why me? I have nothing to offer you, Alpha. All I bring is trouble and bad luck.” I tell him to avoid any misunderstanding in the future. I also wanted to hear his answer to my question. Why did he chose me? Why?
“Any woman I desired?” I hear him say with a voice so low, it sends shivers to my tummy.
“Yes.” I reply and he nods, probably realizing that he had made a bad decision by picking me when he could’ve had beautiful Tiffany.
“You paid a million dollars for a cursed witch. Why?” I finally turn my head to meet him.
“Because it is you I want.” He answers and my breathe hitches, my eyes widening in surprise at his reply. For a few seconds, I am unable to speak up as the words seem to be stuck in my throat. His reply definitely shut me up.
“What?” I finally say, blinking my eyes over and again to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating. He doesn’t turn to look at me as his eyes were glued to his phone.
“Keep your other questions for later.” He drops his phone and the car slows down. It is then I realize that we had arrived at his pack house.
There was a tall black gate before us with gold designs around it. As soon as the car drew closer to the gate, it opened by itself to reveal a white colored mansion. The biggest I had seen in my entire life. The compound was spacious and had a mini pond with a wolf grotesque at the center.
The car stops at the front and his men rush to open the doors. The front door is gold crested also and it opens to reveal the interior of the house which is even more impressive than the exterior with expensive paintings and furniture.
“You can drool over the house later. Let’s go.” Alpha Lucian interrupts my moment and pulls me in with him. The house is quiet when we get in and I wonder if it was actually a pack house. Back at Damien’s pack, there was hardly a time when the house wasn’t noisy.
He opens a door to reveal a room that was three times the size of my room back at my former pack. With a queen sized bed and a modern aesthetic, this room was breath taking.
Cleaning a room like this would be almost impossible. I can’t believe he’s already giving me work when I just got here.
“This is your room.” He says, bringing me out of my daze and I arch a brow in both surprise and confusion.
“My room?” I ask, taking another look at the place. This is definitely not a room for maids.
“I-I thought-”
“You thought I bought you to be a maid?” He chuckles evilly, showing off his perfect teeth.
“No, kitten. That isn’t why you’re here.” He continues, taking steps towards me but I move away from him until my back hits the wall and I have no where to run to.
“I bought you because you should belong to me.” He moves his hand from my waist until it gets to my chin and he grabs it, careful not to hurt me but hard enough to keep me in place as he pulls me in until our lips are only a few inches apart.
“You are mine, Silver.” He says as his lips come crashing on mine.
