Lucians POV
I get home and head straight to the dining room, I realize my note isn’t present and the table isn’t cleared either, I grin “How obedient is my little kitten, she’s indeed obedient". I walk directly to her room and there she lay comfortably in her bed, her innocent face leaves me in wonder. Honestly, I am mesmerized by her beauty. I could imagine the pain she has been through and I can’t imagine what more pain my father is about to unleash upon her tomorrow. I was as sneaky as could be. I looked at my wristwatch and realized I had been here for a long time and to my surprise I didn't feel tired to gape upon her beauty.

Jane, please get Silver ready as soon as possible, I ordered the maid, panting left and right, the news of taking Silver from Damien had spread like wild wire. Father summoned me yesterday to take care of business but also inquired about Silver, he spoke so lowly of her. I could never let him find out who Silver's parents are, but how long will I continue to hide it from him? I am hoping that he doesn’t smell her, he raged on all through yesterday at how a low life isn’t fit for me. My father has in mind a suitable Luna for me, but that would never happen.
Hey, Kelsey I called one of my palace workers, I’m leaving now, so please bring Silver to the Dark Howl Palace in an hour.
The meeting had just begun and Silver was late, I couldn’t hide my disgust when Father kept on roaring about all of these, as she walked in. I stand, my face steady, she smiles at me but I ignore her. I had made Father understand that she is nobody and I am keeping her with a motive in mind and when the time is right, I will reveal it to him.
*clears throat*
“This is Silver, ‘m-my’-a nobody” I got her for half a million dollars, and she will serve as my keeper for a while, her pack has a debt to pay and she was given to me as a gift, never the less I had to pay for it.”
I could smell the shock and surprise on her face, I just presented her as nobody in front of the Pack.
I nod with confidence with a smirk on my face like a child waiting to be applauded for his good work.
My brother, Dylan takes a few steps closer to her, without any warning, he bursts into an uncontrollable jolt of laughter surprising everyone seated. But they dared not join in the laughter and after a while, his laughter died down. My expression was as hard as a rock. I placed my gaze on Silver, her eyes watery with tears, but I didn’t care, I couldn’t afford to be seen as weak by the people of Dark Howl.
“Come here” My father beckoned to her, and I quickly nudged her forward, I heard her little sobs but she was just weak and it irritated me, but I noticed something peculiar, when she got before my father, she straightened up, and stood tall. I weaved a smile through my teeth.
My father moved around her in his usual demeanor, trying to frighten her but she didn’t waiver. I smell something off about her, what pack are you from? He roared.
Not once did I let Silver speak, I quickly chipped in, the red moon pack” I lied”
His smile widens, “Lucian, you have done well” He says with that smile on his face unwavering, but everyone knows better that when the Devil smiles, the whole pack far and abroad cries.
After years of the red blood being in debt, they finally find a way to pay off, is she pure breed, Lucian?
Yes, father, I told another lie, this time consciously avoiding her eyes...

Everyone prepare, we celebrate, yes? Father says looking around, earning cheers and bickering from everyone.
I want everyone in the werewolf Kingdom to attend, no pack misses this, and wars have been suspended for now at least, the crowd cheered on.
My eyes widen in confusion, I hurry to Father's ear, and whisper we can’t invite our enemies, what if they plan a coupe?
“Then we fight” I take two steps back, I notice everyone’s eyes peering at me, I compose myself, not wanting to show my disregard for my father's fuss.
When the whole charade wears down and everyone leaves the hall, I take one last glance at her, before following behind my father.
Silver’s POV
With tears in my eyes, and my feet rooted on a spot, from one humiliation to another, I fell to the ground, just then, Jane got me before my knee landed on the ground, shaking and mumbling words that I’m sure Jane couldn’t hear. But she kept on saying “I’m sorry Ma, I’m so sorry”
Was it all a lie? Did Lucian bring me all the way here to continue in this agony? I sobbed I sobbed so hard. Just last night, I felt like something could happen between us, I hoped that there was light at the end of the tunnel, I’m f-f****d, and my life is forever a mess.
Jane butts in…. “But MA, it is a good thing, I don’t get your tears’
I stare at her like if my eyes could kill, Jane would be dead by now.
She goes ahead to ignore me with an unnecessary smile on her face.
I quickly sit up, W-Why do you have that smirk on your face? Are you mocking me?
“No, Ma
It's just that I think ALPHA Alpha Devon likes you, she said emphatically eyeing me. You have no idea, Silver everyone is so Envious of you. I can’t wait especially for Nelly to hear this. Imagine a celebration being hosted because of you, it has never been recorded in the history of the Dark Howl Palace. If I were you’ll glory in this pride.”
I quickly wipe my tears nobody gets it, I mean nobody gets me. There was a wide silence. I am tempted to ask who Nelly is, but I refrain.
Be grateful you’re not me, I finally added.
Jane, observing my worrisome expression, opens her arms wide “Oh, Silver, come here” she pulls me in for a tight hug. I found myself sobbing like a child who failed the semester's test, I allowed my tears to pour down freely without holding back, I’m always out of luck. I realize that at this point if I could switch places with Jane, I totally wouldn’t mind. She had such a beautiful and simple life even better than me, yet she is just a maid, nobody has had it bad like me.
I find Jane staring at me and smiling, and without questions, I smile back wryly at first but then we begin to laugh out loud, Alpha Lucian bursts in at the time, Jane quickly gets up on her feet as Alpha Lucian thundered, what the heck is so funny? She shakes her head emphatically, I thought as much, he responded.
You should be ashamed, he murmured, I didn’t quite get whom he was referring to but I smiled at him, for some reason, it pissed him off so bad that I wasn’t crying, how refreshing it was to see that anger on his face, but from here on, I wasn’t going to let him see my tears ever again, he is never going to see me weak. I’ve had enough of being treated this way, I refuse to accept this fate.
Let’s head out now, he ordered. I get up quickly. Maintaining my gaze and took in a deep breath, Now!!! He ordered, Jane moved quickly taking his orders but I followed sluggishly behind, taking in the beauty of the palace, don’t let me repeat myself, Silver. I increase my pace following his long strides without uttering a word, the disgust in Lucian's voice is palpable, and I move quietly to the garage where Kelsey has been waiting, he opens the door greeting me with a smile.
Not that one, Silver. You ride with me.
I burst into laughter, of course, your highness, the bond wolf has no choice than to ride with the devil’s son, he moved forward in a rush, grabbing my neck and not letting go, his eyes were bloodshot, I could tell he was ready to kill, do not call me that, he thundered in my ears but for some reason, it did something nice to my body.
Let me go, you’re hurting me. Lucian, please let go.
“I GIVE ORDERS! You have no option than to obey me, every disobedience will result in consequences, I’ll punish you, I whispered softly”
Yes, Lucian, I get it. Now, let go.
He laughs, and sarcasm is evident in his voice, I could hear his breath in my ears so loudly.
“uh-uh-uh, when I give commands, you say YES MASTER, do you hear me?”
Yes, I answer.
“What?”
Y- Yes master.
“Now that’s a good girl, releasing his grip on my neck”
Ride with me, he orders again, moving away from me.
Shocked and perplexed, I move towards the car, he is already holding the car door open for me. I entered the car, nudging my head backward it’s going to be a long ride home.
The ride home is quiet and peaceful.I miss Jane already. I need to run away. I need to get out of here, I’ve had plans of running from Damien’s palace but this time I’m not going to give up.
I am going to leave !
