Keisha POV I yawned getting down from my bed ,I checked the time to my suprise I woke up late.I quickly took my bath and went to the car. "Oh my gosh dad was going to kill me"I thought.There was an important meeting today at the company.I took a shortcut knowing that the highway would be filled with cars. And like being late wasn't bad enough my car stopped,in a street with little people around.I quickly booked an Uber,as I was waiting I sighted a cafe nearby and decided to get breakfast. "Hello,what would you like"the girl at the counter said. "A burrito and coffee no milk please"I responded.I took the things I ordered from the counter,my phone beeped and I tried removing it from my bag and ended up bumping hard in to someone the coffee spilled on the person. "I'm so sorry"I said grabbing a tissue from the table close to me dabbing his white shirt with it. "Don't touch me!"he said .I paused and looked up to see some guy looking very angry.He walked out of the place and entered a black jeep but he sat at the back ,like he was waiting for someone. "Madam it's okay"a guy said . "Are you his friend? ,please tell him I'm sorry"I said "No his PA,no problem madam"he said and left. I finally arrived at the office.As soon as I entered I saw my dad,Julia and Jacob sitting down talking.They paused as soon as they saw me.Julia my step-mom snorted and looked at me like I was a stain of mud on her pure white dress. "What made you late?'my father asked ,I was suprised to hear him speak calmly usually he was always angry at me.My father married Julia when I was eight after my mom got cancer,ever since Julia gave birth to Jacob he didn't care about me anymore and acted like I was a maid.Wil entertainment industry was owned by my father,he inherited it from marrying my mom.He made Jacob the next to take over while I was just the manager of actors. "I'm sorry my car stopped"I said quickly not wanting him to hit me. "Have a sit!"he said."I called this urgent family meeting to let you know about the happenings in the company. "We are running low on funds,all our A-list actors are leaving.I made you the manager of the company I can't believe you let that happen!"he shouted. "I let that happen?!In case you don't remember I don't even have access to the company money or major activates I only manage actors,why don't you blame your precious son?" "Don't blame my son you w***e,you know he hasn't been doing fine"she said referring to the fact that Jacob as anxiety issues. "Well maybe if you made me the head I could have handled it unlike your son who drinks and sleep around with women" I hated blamed for everything.I didn't even want to work here the pay was too small but I had no choice.My father seized all my certificates and gave my name a bad record so if I applied for a job no one would hire me and on top of that my mom had Renal Cell Carcinoma(RCC),cancer of the kidney. "Don't you dare talk about my son in that manner Keisha"I heard my father shout"Don't forget your mother ,now be a good girl, you don't have to use your brain just follow my orders"he said "What orders?"I asked hoping it won't be something stupid or dangerous."I want you to marry Jordan Liam,he is a hard one and isn't involved with women but I have a plan"he said. "Who is Jordan Liam?"I asked "Tsk...I thought you were smarter than this,he is the richest young CEO here in California"Julia said rolling her eyes. "I will keep you in touch on what to do"my father said has he signalled for me to leave.
