It’s amazing how the sunset colors reflect on the water. I have never considered my mate is out there, I never thought I would meet them never mind stumble upon them. Melody was the right person to talk to Derek. He would be childish about the topic, mother would have understood and told me to follow my heart but then she would cry and be emotional.

 Father on the other hand would be sure my mate is of royal descent and make sure that we would follow royal protocol, have children, be married as soon as we can, and make sure he is present to our village and pack. 

My father is always about royal duty but if my father deems him unfit to be my mate or anything to do with him, My father would not like my mate to be related to him in any way, he’s selfish and does not consider my feelings.

A couple of months back, my father tried to set up an arranged marriage with a human prince from the next kingdom. He thinks I would benefit from being married to a royal human rather than having my own mate and being truly happy. The prince was nice and very polite, he seemed like he would make a perfect husband. But I want him to be happy with the women he truly loves.

I can not lie I think he was interesting and wanted to get to know him better but I want to see my mate and know if we would get married and have children for us, not for my father. I can't shake the feelings my mate gave me. 

 “Wow, really is nice isn’t it sis” I sighed “Yep, it is. So where is Melody?” knowing Melody she would have told Derek about my health, she talks to me and then tells Derek. She asks if she can talk to Derek. She does this to get Derek to be serious and adult about the topic, I mean he will. It is a serious topic and very sensitive for him as well due to how he met Melody and how much they had to tackle to get his pack to accept her as their luna. His pack was really tough on her, they would make fake trials and attack her when Derek was not around. It took Melody to transform and physically attack them to make them submit and accept her as the luna.

She was badly injured but still showed them that if they do not accept her as their luna they will be forced to leave the pack. Needless to say, no one had messed with her since she was accepted as their luna and got everything my brother had promised. A peaceful life, pups, and a family.

“She’s resting, pups are causing her pain so she wants to rests if they will ease off for a while” I’m shocked he referred to the pups as pupS he usually says it one pup “So wanna talk to me about what you really want to Derek” I prefer it when he gets to the point, don’t get me wrong I love hearing about the pups but he tends to stall to get to the point “Okay, so Melody told me about everything you said and what you felt” I laughed “Wow Derek just wow” 

“What, it’s hard to talk about this, and you are my sister. Plus having a serious conversation with you is hard” I laughed more this just makes him a slight bit angrier, I tried to stop laughing as hard as I could. “Derek, this conversation is a bit hard for me to talk to you about. I mean come on you have your mate, your life is perfect” 

I am not going to hide my pain of how much I have had to overcome and deal with. “Amara” Derek sat down next to me “my life is not perfect sis” he wrapped his arm around my shoulder I let a sigh slip “It is though Derek. You have Melody, the pups. Father gives you respect and treats you like you're actually his child. He treats me like I’m not even his daughter, he is so keen on me getting married to someone that is not even my mate. He gave you the chance to find your mate but me he just does not have the patients for it” 

“Amara he wants what's best for you” I stood up and walked away from him a bit“Do not give me that bullshit” Derek looked shocked and confused. “Father does not want what is best for me. He wants what is best for him. I do not want any part of this Derek. I'm done with this, with everything” he stood up and walked over to me “Amara, what’s this about” I look Derek dead in the eyes “I hate my life, Derek. I hate being a princess, I only just transformed and at the same time feel like my mate was around. It’s piling on I want to go far away from here and never come back” 

Derek looked like he wanted to cry “So you want to leave” I nodded my head, he looked conflicted like he was trying to decide something.

“Leave tonight, I’ll cover you”
