I found her

RAVEN'S POV

A spy? Of course not, I was nothing like that.

Opening my eyes to see where I was, nowhere seemed familiar. My head ached and I tried to touch it but then, I realized my hands were chained. My eyes widened immediately as I stared at the guards.

“Who sent you? Why have you come to spy on us?” The guard started. What was he saying?

Before I could get the chance to say a word, he walked away immediately and I was left all alone. My thoughts travelled really far. How did I even get here?

After what I had experienced, my eyes seemed glued to the floor and I stared…. Shocked. I believed I did not hear what he was saying.

My life seeped out of me the moment the guards held me and he did nothing to stop me.

I was led back to the prison and locked up again, this time in a tighter space. All I could think of was way could have gone wrong. One minute, he loved me and the next, I was a traitor?

I couldn’t sleep and neither could I eat. A whole day locked up and all I waited was for someone to walk up to me and tell me it was all a lie. I waited to wake up from my dream but every minute and seconds only reminded me that it was indeed reality.

Night came again and Owen still did not show up. Was it actually true? I felt so bad for not listening to the woman who had asked me to escape. I waited for another opportunity for her to show up but I guess I missed my chance.

The next morning which turned out to be his coronation day, I was brought out like a prisoner.

I didn’t get the chance to speak to him anymore as he seemed to not want to see me. I was forced to watch all that was going on and of course, everyone else was present….. but the Luna. Where could she have gone?

Everyone had a gloomy expression, all but the Alpha. He seemed excited.

“You wrench.” Someone hit me across the face before pushing me into the muddy floor. “How do you feel now, having taken the Luna’s life? Uhn? I hope you never live to see your child’s happiness ...if you ever experience any.”

For a second, I was trying to think of what she was saying but then, it hit me. The Luna.. was the one who was murdered? I tried to free myself from the grip of the men who held me. The Luna? Of course not. I would never do that!

“Silence!” The Alpha yelled and everyone became mute. He then let out a soft smile. “ As we all know, today is my son’s coronation. This day is one we have all waited for and now that it is here, we have to celebrate. It would have been the most beautiful moment if my wife, the Luna was here but unfortunately, a cheap thief decided to steal from her and when she found out her secret was going to be exposed, she killed her.” He let out a sigh and everyone yelled.

My heart raced. Who was going to believe me? How was I going to make anyone or everyone believe that nothing had happened and I did not even see the Luna?

“I have however made a decision that as a gift to my son who is now the Alpha to make a decision on the judgement for this traitor who had ripped his heart apart and taken away the one woman who meant the world to him. His mother. My wife.” He spoke with so much anger, stirring up bitterness in the heart of everyone.

Owen looked quite weak as he stood at a corner, not able to look up. How was I going to explain that I knew nothing about the accusation that was laid on me? I did nothing wrong. I would never do anything to hurt him.

Owen walked towards me immediately as I was pushed forward, a sight for everyone to behold. To probably see the traitor.

“I did nothing wrong. I know how much you love your mother and how much you cherish her and I would never do anything to hurt you or her.” I tried to explain but he refused to look at me.

“Think about all she has done to you. Think about how she hurt you. Think about everything.” His father stood behind him, like the devil , making him get even more hurt and upset.

“Take her deep into the woods and …… kill her there.” Owen pronounced. My heart skipped a beat as I heard him utter those words.

No, I wasn’t scared of me losing my life but of my lover not believing me or trusting me.

Of course, I was not going to let them go with me hence I escaped while the guards were leading me away. I tumbled while trying to escape and…. I fell, slipping into unconsciousness.

Waking up, I found myself chained up, where I did not know and being tagged as a spy. What the heck?

While I still struggled to make sense of what was happening, the guards approached me and took off the chain off my hands.

“Where are you taking me?” I struggled to let myself out of their grip but no one said a word to me as they continued to pull me towards a room. I was thrown to the floor and towering over me was a man and…. Two men actually.

They had smirks on their faces as they stared at me. Their attractiveness did not make me feel safe at that point. Even though they were drop dead gorgeous, my brain did not seem too strong to process it.

One of the men dismissed the guards immediately and moved towards me.

“Who do you work for?” He probed and raised my face to meet his. He immediately let out a gasp as though he had seen something…. Shocking.

“I don’t know who you are and I promise that I am not a spy. I do not know what your men saw or why they think…..”

“I have found her.” He turned to the other man and my eyes widened. “I have found her.”
