Chapter 25Alex parked at the hospital and was accompanied by Craig, Andrew and Jenny as he made his way to Sandra's ward.
A moment's panic overcame him when he saw curtains drawn around Sandra's bed. “Wait here,” he instructed the others as he charged forward. His tension was instantly released when he found Sandra calmly sitting up in bed, breastfeeding Siobhan.”
“Sorry love, I didn't mean to surprise you. I got a shock when I saw the curtains closed. Is everything okay?”
There was enough of an answer in Sandra's contented grin. “We're both fine.”
Alex was pensive, “Are you okay to breastfeed when you've got an infection?”
“Yes, the doctor said it would be fine. I've been given an antibiotic, but he said it's one that doesn't affect my milk.”
