The crowd cheered after his speech. I sip on my glass, not leaving my eyes on him. Marami ang lumalapit sa kanya para bumati, karamihan sa mga ito ay kababaihan na galing sa isang prominenteng pamilya.
"He's a good speaker." Komento ni Senator Velasco, slightly nodding his head in a huge appreciation. He put his right arm at the back of my chair and lean a little. "I heard rumors about him but I don't know if it's true. May naagrabyado raw itong babae kaya't kaagad na nagbitiw sa pwesto."
I shifted on my seat and faced him. Talagang maraming nasasagap na balita ang matandang ito.
"I heard nasunog ang pabrika nila, he needs to take over their business kaya't kailangang bitawan ang propesyon." I said in response.
"You know him?" His wrinkled forehead contracted, confused.
