To Surpass Dao chapter 18: Chaotic cold lotus

Yao seemed annoyed that the woman tried to educate her husband so she said, “ Husband said my constitution goes against ice attribute arts, besides he also said that most of the ice attribute arts are harmful to the body. Once cultivated for some time cultivation can sour but at the cost of people’s lives. He advised me to not be hasty in practicing them.” That reply seemed aimed at the woman and she seemed insulted and before she could reply, she had another message from the side, “Ignoring everything she shouldn’t be some younger sister right?” 

Yao agreed immediately and then got mad once she made a move to pounce on Luo Ping he held her hand before stomping down and then they collapsed into the ocean water some seconds later the place had been frozen again. The confused woman looked around and discovered indeed those individuals jumped into the lake. 

The path to the forbidden grounds seems at least dangerous but it has some sort of force making the ocean cold water keep some distance at least until entering the grounds. The ocean water has the capability to freeze anyone that makes contact and that is the reason once they dropped into the water no splashes could be seen. They however remained unfrozen since they had very strong bodies and the vital energy of a dragon in Yao even without doing anything that could help her pass through. Having attained pinnacle physical body, a domain can be obtained especially for body cultivators. 

Once activated the two kept moving towards the ocean floor. Luo Ping also ignored the water whose temperature had reached negative hundreds and kept decreasing. At such conditions being frozen is an impossibility. The body could be devoured like being thrown in acid.

Some middle-aged woman arrived and found the situation confusing so asked about what had happened and once informed she seemed to think of many possibilities. “ Waner tell me how do they look like?” She asked her disciple since she thought they probably were seniors in the cultivation world especially the thing Luo Ping said to tease Yao at the end. Some people thought the couple decided to commit suicide others imagined it is something easy to accomplish. 

The seniors in the sects nearby didn’t think the same way since they had used several methods trying to enter the forbidden regions for treasures but failed. The doorway that leads into the forbidden region is simpler to break through than the area that had been stomped. The place is too hard to even treasures rarely manage to leave a scratch yet some youth managed to stomp and fall in. That is deemed a joke, the strength of those sects in the region have ancestors that fail to even shake off the icebergs despite using treasure weapons. 

Once the people around were questioned they said the same thing and most of the sects older generation indeed looked bad since the young lady accompanying the man that broke into the ice-ocean spoke the truth. Their strength had skyrocketed but they could understand that every time their lifespan keeps decreasing. 

The disciple asked his master that said in a mocking tone, “ Cultivation aptitude being bad. Someone like that can do something the entire sects in the ice region have failed to do even while cooperating. Whose cultivation aptitude is bad. Muer I’m afraid that senior knew your intention was to cause trouble for them and even said some mocking words. Probably they are from the central region, only that place has such monsters.”

“Master where are the central regions?” She asked confused. The middle-aged woman turned around looking in some direction and said, “ The best cultivation holy lands. They have the best resources and even the spirit energy in that place is hundred of times other regions. Imagine if sects use formations to gather more towards them even ten times and other areas such as inner disciples. Core disciple regions. The amount of spirit energy can make people reach even higher realms than us in these parts just by doing nothing. The geniuses that have resources can on the other hand reach even terrifying realms than the ancestors of the other sects.”

The disciple actually became terrified by such a fact, “ That is not fair” She complained and for the first time, the middle-aged woman looked at her like an i***t. “ Is there fairness in this world, do you think that they got such places handed to them. They had the strength to take and maintain them otherwise they can be replaced easily. It seems they have decided to eye the treasures in the region.”

“Master, are there really treasures below the lake?” The disciple wondered how such a cold place could produce any treasures so she asked some more questions before leaving.

Luo Feng and Yao moved until reaching some region that seemed too cold that the water even couldn’t approach and was the cause of the coldness. Luo Ping discovered a very terrifying beast in the lake that seemed to observe them. Perhaps it thought of using them to collect the treasure but Luo Ping already decided it had become a meal. He even promised Yao to prepare some yummy dishes so she seemed to cool down.

They entered the space and discovered that the temperature still kept decreasing so Luo Ping decided he had to obtain the treasure.  The place actually had only one thing and it seemed like a plant and from the system is seemed to be called a chaotic ice lotus. Collecting it seemed to go to become problematic so he asked Yao to remain in the back as he proceeded and from the time he could feel being frozen even the domain become useless.

He then used the phoenix blood and in the end, it couldn’t even last adding some treasures he managed to reach it but they had been destroyed. He just endured it by utilizing all bloodlines and in the end, managed to pull it through difficulty and stored it in the system storage space. 

The region seemed to have yet felt the impact and Luo Ping speculated it could continue to have that climate for several millenniums and perhaps even another treasure could be produced but not anything chaotic. Such treasures were rare and he had plans to use them for body and bone refinement.
