CHAPTER 1 MARTHA’S POV It was a really nice summer afternoon, me and Joe planned to go to the beach with Brian and Josh, our sons. I was too tired but they were all excited to go . On our way we stopped at the gas station to get some snacks and fill the car . When I entered the mart then I saw him, my heart skipped a beat and I found it hard to even utter a word but joe entered and he was so excited to see his long time best friend Thomas who was far away in England.Before i could say anything he told joe he was moving back to Florida and they needed to catch up, they planned on going out the next Friday, all through their conversation I was still awestruck because I knew what was coming. While at the beach I was just reminiscing about everything that happened, I got so angry and sad at the same time so when joe wasn’t looking I took my phone and called Thomas and I asked him what he wanted and all he could say was that he wanted to be with me and his son and I got so angry, I shouted at him over the phone. I told it can’t work and he said “I will do anything to get you and you know me !”Joe was so worried and wanted to know the reason why I was upset but I couldn’t even tell him. When we got home and joe went to bed, I called Thomas back and talked to him and we decided to meet for lunch the next day . When Joe woke up the next morning he had to drop Brian and Josh at his parents house for a week then he set off for his business trip. When he left it was lunch already so I went to meet Thomas. He said he had a special place for us to have lunch, i was angry and at the same time I couldn’t forget the fact that I still had feelings for him, I was lost deep in my thoughts that I didn’t realise when we got to a private park and I asked him why he brought me there. He said it was a surprise . As we walked into the park then I could see a picnic setting and rose petals and scented candles leading the way. I was so shocked but it’s been so long I’ve experienced this type of care because joe doesn’t even care, so I decided to just have the picnic with him and It was the most romantic picnic I’ve ever had. When we were done eating and we stood up he came close and he held me by my waist working his hands down and I was lost in the moment, my heart was beating so fast but he stopped suddenly and he said we should leave I was still trying to comprehend what had just happened .The ride home was so quiet and when he dropped me off he didn’t utter a word. In the middle of the night I couldn’t even sleep so I tried calling him several times but he didn’t pick up his calls. The next morning i woke up to his call and he wanted me to meet him up. I didn’t want to go but I was so curious about him and I’ve missed him so much, the most important part was I was going to see him and ask him why he acted like that at the picnic. He sent me the location to meet him up and I dressed up. I wore a lace lingerie with a coat over it because I didn’t know what I was expecting .
