“ Hunny it’s time to start school! You’re gonna be late”
My mother yells from downstairs, if I’m honest I was not ready for today. I couldn’t tell you what it is but for some reason I feel drawn to go there, it sounds confusing but most places I’ve lived are just well meh if that even describes it, but this place… this place just feels right.
“Coming mother!”
I grab my school bag and jumper giving myself a look over in the mirror, I must say I do look rather hot in a uniform. I gave myself a wink and left running downstairs giving my mother a kiss on the cheek and left.
“Same s**t, different day”
I mumbled to myself as I make my way to school. Upon entering the school grounds all eyes seem to turn on me with girls batting their eyes and boys giving me that look as if I stepped in their territory. What can I say, can’t help I’m hot and dreamy, 6’4, brown hair, blue eyes, incredible body, I am every girls dream and every boys worst enemy (plus they want to be me)
“Uh.. h..hello”
I looked down to see a girl standing in from of me, shy, timid, cute, what more could you want
“Hello”
I replied gazing down at her, her cheeks grew a faint pink blush as she started to look at the floor.
“I’m sorry sir, I’m here to escort you to the head”
I didn’t have time to register or respond, she turned on her heal and began to walk away towards the main doors. To say it took me long to catch up with her was an overstatement, I was right behind her within a few steps. I couldn’t tell you what it was but as soon as I entered the school I was hit with just a wave of power. I knew this was a mixed school of witches, wolves and humans but I didn’t think anyone here would hold so much power, it was so strong, nothing I’ve ever felt before.
I looked around to see if I could find anything with an aura or spirit to help me pin point exactly where or who it was coming from but I could see anything, I was left clueless. Finally the girl made her way to the main office doors and allowed me to enter. Before I could thank her she had hurried away, adorable if I do say so myself.
“Jack, son how are you?”
I heard my father say as he came out of his office smiling dragging me into a hug
“Hi father, look do I really need to be here?”
I sigh looking at him. I know he just wants the best for me but I’ve practically lived in schools and can’t seem to escape them, we live around every time someone gets suspicious of my age.
“I’m sorry son, but you need to, you know the protocol. If you can find someone to love you for you and you love someone for them, no tricks or magic to make it happen then we will finally be able to stay in one spot. Hopefully that’s this time”
He gave me a reassuring smile while giving me my book, I didn’t have time to respond as his phone started ringing. He just waved me off and went back inside.
I walked the halls thinking to myself, it wasn’t fair. I tried so hard to find love but it clearly was never meant for me. I finally found my locker when that surge of power hit me again, but I still couldn’t find it. I looked everywhere around me but nothing. This is going to drive me mad.
~Time skip~
It was lunch and as always, all eyes on me, noise almost became extinct as I entered the canteen. I couldn’t even describe it, I just wanted to be alone. As I went up to the Dinnerladies and got my food I looked down, and to say the British eat weird was an understatement. From what I know this food is normal for them… cheesy pasta and beans… like hello?
I want to invest in a subway or something for them but seeing everyone watch me while they ate made me realise, clearly normality in this place compared to others are very different. I couldn’t believe it if I’m honest. I took my food and sat down at the first table I could see, that’s when everyone who was brave came up to me, it was obvious who it was though. popular girls and the popular guys all sat down acting as if you hey had known me for years. This was going to be fun…
