Mimi “Mimi wake up! Breakfast is ready” Beep beep beep, there it was the alarm and my mam, morning and first day of school. To say I was ready is not the choice of words l would personally use. Hi my names Mimi, today is the last first day of school and I’m finally free to do as I please and explore the world. “Coming mammy!!” I yell grabbing my dressing gown and running downstairs, walking into the kitchen I’m greeted by the sleek of bacon, eggs and toast. Mmm half an English breakfast, unfortunately I’m the picky one of the family, everyone else has beans, eggs bacon, tomato, toast and black pudding. Now that’s an English breakfast. As you’ve probably assumed I am English, born and raised in England, we don’t have nice hot weather, out of 365 days of the year we are lucky to have more than 30 days of sun, I don’t mean 30 days straight I mean 30 days out of the whole year, we aren’t lucky in that department but it does mean more snuggly days inside with a book or movie. “Mam after this year of school i want to explore, now I know you don’t agree but I’m an adult now” I look at her with my puppy dog eyes, I know my mother can be strict sometimes but only because she doesn’t want me to go wrong in life. You see I want to explore like I said but me mam wants me to go to the wolf academy and stay in the pack and just be a mate who stays at home and bares children like she does. Me dad is a warrior and fights for us, protects us and makes sure that no harms comes to us or the pack, and me brother well he’s following his footsteps. “Mimi I told you what I want for you, why is it so hard to follow customs” She gave me a pity but agitated look “It is best if you stay in the pack and only leave for school for the time being, you know it’s not safe out there and I’m sure your father with agree with me” She looked his way giving him a stern look, linking to him to agree. He just stares back at her, I know they are arguing just by the look on his face. “Your mother is right hunny, it is safer for you to be here but I’d like to stay out of this” He comments digging back into his breakfast with a filling sigh from mam. Ugh could my life be even more difficult. After I got my shoes on I grabbed my bag, kissed mam and dad on the cheek and ran out the door, and at the end of the path was the most beautiful sight ever, my best friend Jess, waiting there in her famous jazzed up uniform looking snazzy. See we are 2 different people, i tend to stay quiet where as she is loud and outspoken, definitely straight forward with anyone. “Hey b***h, seeing you’re going with a horror theme this week” I wink as I link arms with her. “Girl you know it, I’m so gonna stop my game this year, I’ll have definitely have a whole page to myself in the year book” She chucked walking down the road. ~ time skip~ It was 2nd period and all I could hear were mumbles and rumours and a new guy, so far I’ve heard the name Cupid and Jack, it sure why but boo my wolf was restless, she’s never like that, you see I’m 18 years old and mateless, most wolves find them at 16 and well of my age group a small selection haven’t found theirs including me. As class ends me and Jess meet at my locker. “Have you heard of the new guy!” We say in sync to one another with a puzzled look. We both burst out laughing which end up giving us some looks from the students in the hallway. “Girl I was hoping you’d have information, all I know is the names Cupid and Jack” I close my locker and turn to look at her holding my book, she shook her head with a disappointed look, “I thought you’d have information too, all I know is he is smoking hot” We share that look and wiggle our brows and without words we know exactly what each other are thinking, once we were satisfied that we knew nothing else’s we went for our break. We both sat in the canteen chatting about homework when all of a sudden everyone went silent, we tried to follow their gaze to where they were looking but because of so many people it was hard to see. Not that me and Jess were too interested we just went back to talking, The hot guy could wait another day
