Her Viking Warrior

Dagney held her hand over her mouth as she hid behind the large tree. Colden walked passed and she held back her laughter as she prepared to make her run for it. His back was turned to her when she broke out in a run in the oposite direction of him. He rounded on her and and she shreaked with laughter as she began to out run him. Colden reached out and Grabbed her as she fell to the ground laughing at the blonde hair blue eyed boy whos smile reached his eyes laughing on the ground next to her.  Getting up they ran to the beach they stoped when they saw the boats as they arrived, they looked diffrent than the long boats of her village. " im going to get someone' Colden said as he ran twoard the village leaving her on the beach. Dagney turned when she heard voices behind her. she turned and saw a tall man with red hair and blue eyes he smelled of something strange. She turned to run but he reached out and grabbed her, she screamed and tried to fight him as he dragged her to his boat. He was tying her hands to the boat as his men started rowing away. With tears in her eyes she looked at the shore and saw her brother Olin running down the beach with Colden beside him, and her mother Thrya right behind them screaming her name.par "DAGNEY, DAGNEY , NO!!" she heard her mother Screaming for her. Her world went Dark as she opened her eyes in the dark sellar she was in she whiped the tears from her eyes . She sat up its been 12 years sense she was taken from her home by Orson. Every night she had the same dream she wanted to go home, she wanted to get away from him, she had to. Dagney got to her feet and lit the candles on the small wooden table light came to the room it was a small room shelves of spices and flour lined the walls the floor was dirt it had no windows only a stair case leading up to the door. She dressed in her blue dress and stockings she braided her hair and started up the stairs. 'COME HERE b***h, NOW!" Orson yelled at her his scottish tounge thick, as she walked threw the door into large room. She walked up to him, he grabbed her by her hair and pulled her face an inch from his. She had to hold her breath as nausa came to her as he smelled like rotting fish and spice. "what took you so long you stupid girl. ive been yelling for you for almost 45 minutes." She pulled her face back "Im sorry Sir, It wont happen again" she said. He pushed her away "get to work this place isnt going to clean itself". Dagney walked to the other side of the room she glanced over to see Raine sitting in the chair at the table. " Im hungry slave i want my breakfast now."  Slave, Dagney thought of the title she had here. In this place she was a slave held against her will, But in Avaldsens her Father Rangvaldr is King of the norsemen of vikings and shieldmaidens. People respected and feared her father and her mother Thrya. She closed her eyes and thought of her parents and her brother Olin, were they still looking for her, or did they think she was dead. She walked out the door to the brisk morning air she lookedd to the cloudy sky. "Odin, AllFather hear me please Help me." She hung her head and walked to the chicken pen to collect the eggs.  She thought to herself as she did the chores. Has the gods forsaken her she prayed to them everyday to help her and they never answered her, was she forgotten. She knew Odin loved all of his children and awaited them in Vallhalla. As she sat she remembered something her father told her before he left to battle she was afraid for her fathers safey he looked down at her and told her , "Odin gives strength to those who need and guides them to victory just look to the sky to the allfather and he will guide you my Daughter ". Dagney looked to the sky "Odin Hear me, give me the strength to fight to find my way home to Avaldsens." thunder cracked across the sky she smiled Odin has heard her prayer for the first time in 12 years she knew he will give her the strength she needed to get away.  "Good Morning Dani." She looked over to find Grant Wallas the young man that worked for Orson. He was her only friend she has known him sense Orson moved her here  " Good Morning Grant"  "Is your uncle home." Uncle Orson is what he wanted her to call him when others were around. He told her if she ever told anyone he had kidnapped her he would kill her. She didnt fear death she knew she would rejoice in Vallhalla with the gods. She did as he said to protect herself if people knew they would take her to the monistry and she wouldnt be able to ecsape and find her way home.  "He is, where are you headed to this time." " Norway, A place called Hedeby going to make a trade with the Earl there." Dagneys heart skipped a beat Hedeby was only 50 miles from Avaldsens this was Odin answering her pleas she needed to be on that ship she needed grants help. that ment she had to tell him the truth of who she was. "Grant we've been friends for a long time." Grant looked at her with consern on his face. "Whats wrong Dani." She led him to the trees by the chicken pen. " Orson is not my uncle" Dagney studied his face before she continued. "12 years ago he took me from my village ,from my family. My name is not Dani its Dagney my father is Rangvaldr king of Avaldsens. please help me." Grant stood his mouth open shocked by the words she said." Dani, Dagney sorry what?"  "Take a message to my father please you have to pass Avaldsens on your way to Hedeby, please i know he is searching for me." Grant ran his hand threw his long brown hair. " Have your letter ready before i leave tomorrow i promise ill help you." Grant understood and he was going to help her she was going to go home. She watched as Grant walked to the house, She had to put her trust in him. Later she saw him walking out of the house in her direction he was holding a cloth and coal stick for her to write with. "Hurry Orson is looking for you". Dagney wrote quickly she looked at Grant if he dosent believe you tell him "Odin gives streangth to those who need and guides them to victory just look to the sky to the allfather and he will guide you, I will wait at the shore for your return be safe." with that Grant left. Dagney looked to the sky and prayed to Odin.
