Scarlett woke up with a gasp. A light sheen of sweat covered her entire body despite the cold air around her. Her chest rapidly rose up and down and her heartbeat was a little faster than she would have liked it to be. She felt a gentle breeze and made a move to pull her blanket tighter around her, but there was nothing there. Feeling dazed and not sure exactly where she was, she looked around and her eyes momentarily widened as she realized that she had fallen asleep outside on the balcony. She groaned and stood up, wincing at the soreness of her body from folding herself on the outdoor couch.
