“Thank you. Do come again next time.” Scarlett said with a sweet smile as she handed the bag of cake and a cup of coffee to the customer.
“Of course.” The customer smiled in return.
Since they were still a relatively new business, she was dedicating one week to one pasty and then rotating the next week, over time, they would have a set menu, but she was just trying her hand at different things for now. And it was lemon cake week. They had baked them in different sizes and shapes and the shop smelled like confectionery heaven.
“Soooo what do you think about him?” Amy came up to her and asked as the customer walked away, nudging her playfully while sporting a coy smile on her face.
“Huh? What do I think about who?” She answered absentmindedly as she fiddled with the paper bags again.
