The moment Grace White discovered her pregnancy, Sarah Lowe, a lifelong friend of Ryan Jones, took a fatal plunge from the floor just above Grace's office.

"Ryan, my love for you never fades, but I refuse to be a burden, stirring conflict between you and Ms. White. Meeting you is something I'll never regret. If there's another life, I'd fall for you all over again."

Sarah stood at the panoramic window, wiped her tears defiantly, and leaped without hesitation.

"Ryan, I'm preg..."

Grace clutched a pregnancy test report, ready to knock when Ryan's office door flung open and he rushed out, seemingly frantic.

She was pushed aside, stumbled uncontrollably, and her hip collided painfully with a desk edge.

The report slipped from her hands, trampled under the chaos.

"Ryan! Where are you headed?" she called out, urgency threading her voice.

But Ryan didn't turn back.

Only after watching the company group chat video of Sarah's tragic leap did the situation become clear.

Grace, who had just visited the hospital that morning, now returned, not for herself but for a woman who deeply loved her husband.

Ryan stood outside the emergency room, leaning against the wall, despairingly muttering to himself.

"I'm sorry, it's all my fault."

Chapter 1 Unexpected Revelations
The moment Grace White discovered her pregnancy, Sarah Lowe, a lifelong friend of Ryan Jones, took a fatal plunge from the floor just above Grace's office. "Ryan, my love for you never fades, but I refuse to be a burden, stirring conflict between you and Ms. White. Meeting you is something I'll never regret. If there's another life, I'd fall for you all over again." Sarah stood at the panoramic window, wiped her tears defiantly, and leaped without hesitation. "Ryan, I'm preg..." Grace clutched a pregnancy test report, ready to knock when Ryan's office door flung open and he rushed out, seemingly frantic. "I'm sorry, it's all my fault." Grace halted in her tracks. This marked Sarah's ninety-ninth act of desperation for Ryan's sake. Five years prior, Sarah had returned from overseas, only to find Ryan married to Grace, and began using threats of suicide to drive a wedge between them. Recalling this, Grace approached to comfort him, "Don't worry, she jumped from only the second floor. She should be fine." "Fine?" Ryan shot back, eyes livid, his stare piercing through Grace like a spear. "She's in the emergency room! How can you say she's okay? Gracie, you upset her, didn't you?" Grace was left speechless, a bitter shake of her head the only response. "I didn't." Sarah's first attempt to take her own life coincided with her birthday. Ryan spent the evening with Grace. They blew out candles and sliced the cake together. He even tried to reassure her with soft-spoken words. "Sarah's always been a bit pampered. Nothing serious will happen." Yet, three days later, Sarah posted a cryptic message online. Sarah: The man of my dreams dumped his old flame and will soon whisk me away from the hospital. Before Grace could even confront him, Ryan showed up with Sarah in tow, demanding she apologize. "Grace is the one I love. No one can tarnish her reputation." Since that moment, no matter what chaos Sarah unleashed, Ryan remained unfazed. That was until Sarah made a video call, a blade pressed against her throat, weeping that someone was shadowing her every move. Ryan hesitated only a fraction before grabbing his coat and rushing out. "I can't let anything happen to Sarah." That night, he didn't return. On what was supposed to be a celebration of their wedding anniversary, Grace eagerly awaited the moment Ryan would present her with the Eternal Love necklace. However, Sarah's dramatic suicide attempt resulted in the necklace she had yearned for ending up gracing Sarah's neck instead. "You didn't? Then who else could have shoved Sarah?" Ryan's voice was heavy with disappointment. "I realize you're upset about Sarah meddling in our lives, but her love for me didn't deserve your resentment. She hasn't harmed anyone." "She's just a naive girl," Ryan added dismissively. Grace couldn't fathom what she was hearing, her disbelief reflected in the tremble of her voice. "Ryan, does her innocence justify painting me as vindictive?" Ryan's lips thinned, a hint of regret shadowing his eyes. "I..." "The patient's struggling to survive. Families, please come with me," a nurse interjected urgently, directing her attention at Ryan. At those words, Ryan bypassed Grace without a moment's pause, making his way briskly to the ward. In her frantic haste, Grace's lower back slammed against the sharp edge of a hallway chair, aggravating the place already tender from an earlier bruise. "Ouch!" She cried out, crumbling to the floor as a piercing pain twisted through her midsection. Ryan glanced over his shoulder, his hand instinctively reaching for her, only to pull back. "I'm going to see Sarah. Quit using pathetic tactics just to make me stay." "Pathetic tactics? Is that truly what you think of me?" Grace responded with a bitter chuckle. Waves of pain rippled through her abdomen, her mind flashing to their child, and her expression grew bleak. "Ryan, regardless of what you believe, for the sake of our baby, please!" At the mention of their child, Ryan's resolve wavered for a heartbeat before he steeled himself again, retorting, "To spare Sarah any grief, I had a vasectomy. There's simply no way you're pregnant."
