"Twice Bitten..."

"DON'T you even try to run!" Bang! Like a zillion Fireworks came alive in her sub-conscious, and it wasn't even the climax of the New-year's Eve watchnight,heralding a brand new year! That voice,though a hundred percent frightening,sounded vaguely familiar. Rebecca would give anything now to be anywhere else but here, because she knew, without a doubt, that her past had found her out, caught up with her and possibly,about to overtake her. She didn't want to shake for all to see, but the polythene bag she held gave her fright away. Slowly,oh so very slow-motion-like-a -movie-scene- slowly,she turned around her slender neck, only to find herself bathing in the coldest pool of human eyes she had ever seen. Oh!Dear, Heavenly Father help.... "Follow me now!" His voice brook no resistance, not that she had any emotional strength to not do as she was told by and by. Her saving grace,however,at this moment would be for a third party to intervene and challenge the tall 'stranger',whom she was now trailing after like 'a sheep to its slaughter'. where were her friends when she needed them! Rebecca followed him to the blue Corolla car parked across the road, wishing some passersby would notice her... silent- body language- SOS, and come to her aid.Perhaps, the God she knows and who loves her dearly could and definitely would make it happen,if only she were not ... guilty as not charged yet but ultimately, will be charged! The second she shut the car door.The car was swung,No more appropriately,yanked into hyper-aggressive and furious motion. Rebecca allowed the polythene take pride of place somewhere near her denim-cladded leg,so she could clutch the seat with both hands. The speed demon has been unleashed.She must brace herself. Even if the worst will happen,she should speak... now! "Sir, Please l'm so sorry," "Shut your stupid mouth up!"He barked wildly,and Rebecca flinched. She had seen and encountered varying degrees of fury in her young 23 years,yet this man's degree was unprecedented,a world record breaker,to put it mildly or a world record smasher,to put it as wildly as he spoke,no,silly... barked.
