chapter 2

(ELORA'S POV)

I have to go meet our chemistry teacher immediately I get to school, I have to get him to explain how these theories apply to our practical. These were the thoughts going on through my head on our way to school in the school bus.

I look at Freda she looks lost in deep thoughts.

I'm about to read her thoughts, but then I realised I shouldn't peer into people's minds and just pry on their private thoughts, just because I have the powers to.

oh well, one little peek can't hurt. I tried as much as I could to understand it, but the theories were so damn hard to apply. I hope he's willing to put me shed some light on the topic.

"Freda could you please follow me to a teacher's office immediately we get to school" I asked?

"Yeah sure, I also want to see him about the last project we were given. It's so confusing but I have to see my sister first" She replied

"Okay fine with me." I replied, "I didn't understand it either", I said. "Best we meet him at once" I added.

Soon as we got to school, me and my friend Freda went to see her sis in a the lower classeroom then both started heading to the biology's teacher office straight.

And I saw Jayden, the supposed coolest boy of our set coming from the entrance door directly opposite me.

I wasn't among the popular kids as I was more of a book worm, and he was much of an all rounder.

I also thought he was cool, but we've never spoken.

I thought to myself, She's very pretty tho. Wow, even more pretty than Christine. I just had an idea, how about I make her my next target. After all i already had my fun with the rest. Yeah, I think I should talk to her right now.

What? Are these the disgusting things Jayden is thinking about towards me?, I thought to myself.

Wow, what a disgusting pig he is. I cant believe that's what he gets close to girls for.

I feel so disgusted and angry right now but I have to try and keep my calm. I thought.

As we were about to cross each other he stopped and said "Hi, am Jayden" with a very captivating smile.

Why would someone this irritating have such a smile I thought to myself and just walked right past him while looking at him with so much hatred.

"Elora, Jayden just greeted you, why didn't you answer him?" Freda asked.

"Nothing, I don't just feel like." I replied. "Hmm that's new, I've never seen you ignore anyone before like never ever." She said.

"Asides that, its jayden as in Jayden the most coolest boy in school, and you just ward him off. Are you sure there's no reason?" She asked.

"Yeah there's no reason at all, I'm sure," I replied. "Let's hurry office before he goes for the first class of the day" i added.

We hurriedly hurried to his office and met the door open with him sitting going back to the desk from the door.

"It seems he's already going out." She said. "Yeah so it seems" I replied. Where did I leave that key, oh hear it is.

Oh he's looking for his keys, I think we won't be able to see him now then I thoughtto myself.

"Uhmm, Freda it seems he's Looking for something. I think we should come back some other time" I said.

"Yeah, I can see him looking around, let's go to glass then" She replied "sure" I said.

"Where do you think he's hurriedly going to tho?" She asked. "I think he usually addresses one of the classes at the beginning of each term, y'know the same thing our teacher does to us each on the first day of a term" I replied.

"Oh yes that's right, I totally forgot about that" she said laughing.

Being in this class for almost a year and From walking in these halls for about three years, i could tell where my class was, even in the dark.

"I wonder who we'll be sitting next to this time around, I hope its someone fun for me" she said.

"Well let's see how it goes" I replied. Immediately someone bumps into me and my the chemistry book I held in my hand I intended to use when question the teacher falls down.

Immediately the persons bends down to pick up the book and when he raises his head up to hand my book to me, I see it was jayden.

Not this guy again, is he following me or what? I asked myself. "Elora Smith, nice name by the way" He said.

"Leave me alone, I don't need your help, you disgusting pig". I said raising my voice at him and took my book from his hands.

And this got the attention of the whole class as they all suddenly fixed eyes on us.

And I quickly went into my class dragging my friend along. "What was that about ?" I asked.

"I thought you said you had no problems with Jayden," she said. "I don't" I quickly replied.

"Then what was that unnecessary embarrassment for?" She asked"I don't know you to be that type of girl tho" she added.

"I'm sure there's a reason for your actions and it's cool if you don't wanna sha."

Freda is my oldest friend, how am I going to tell her I have the ability to read minds? She might see me as a witch or something. I thought to myself.

I better come up with something plausible and fast.

"I don't just like him, it's really nothing but I do not just like him even a bit" i said.

"How would you say you don't just him. He is literally the most popular student, plus he's friendly, nice and caring. So why?" She asked.

"I just don't like him Freda, take it like that." I replied. "Okay elora, whatever you say" She quickly added and we went to our sits.

Jayden entered the class with samuel soon, and went to their seats.

Shortly after, the teacher came into the class. We all stood up to greet him and after exchanging pleasantries with most of us, we began the reshuffling.

First we al went out with all our belongings, then he placed the people with eye defects first, depending on short and farsightedness.

Then the rest of the students were placed in seats also.

After the whole reshuffling, I found out that my seat mate was none other than Jayden. He gave a really weird smile.

"Excuse me sir, I would like to change sits. I do not want to share seats with Jayden". I stood up and said.

"Elora I know Jayden can be a problem sometimes, but you'll survive. He is a good student and a nice person when you get to know him okay?" The teacher said.

"Okay sir" I replied sitting down feeling somewhat embarrassed.

Perhaps did I wrong her without knowing or something to warrant this unnecessary hatred. I don't know why but it just make me want her more, but I'll have to look for a way to be on her good side. perhaps I should try talking to her now and see what her reason is for the rudeness earlier i thought.

Why is this guy so persistent, I just embarrassed him In front of the whole class and he's still saying he wants me?. I asked my self.

Just so he can have his way with me, wow he really is disgusting. I'm gonna make his life a living hell. I hope he doesn't talk to me anymore tho. I concluded.

"uhmm Elora, have I done something bad to you without knowing or knowingly, that may have caused you to despise me as you do now?. it seems like my very existence is irritating to you". He said.

He just had to!, this boy is really just a fool, to think he walks around with such nasty thoughts in his head, and the teacher thinks he's a nice person.

How sad it is that people actually look up to this pig and it's even more sad that he does have his way with he's so called targets. "Elora please answer my question" he says again.

"Jayden please leave me alone, you've not done anything to me but I do not like you and i never will also we can't be friends. So just leave me alone." I reply out of anger.

"Oh okay I get that you just don't like me, it's cool tho" He says as if feeling sad.

I feel kind of bad for being that harsh. but then I hear his thoughts again.

This isn't working, why is this girl such a pain, perhaps I should try other methods, but she particularly hates me tho, I don't know what to do.

Is he still pushing this, what is wrong with this kid. How can one be so disgusting?, or perhaps he thinks because he's probably the most handsome boy in school. Then he gets to mess around with any girl of his choice.

Well I for one am not willing to be his next trophy, I'm gonna start avoiding him from now on, and if he tries to persist, I'll embarrass him far more beyond he ever thought possible.
