Dead tired, Dr. Simmons had managed three hours sleep in the last two-and-a-half days. Glad to be back in his tiny office in the Communicable Disease Ward, he needed to think through this awful Monarch business before he met with the family.
The meeting with the Monarchs promises to be tricky. Knowing them, I’ll have to handle it just right, Simmons realized.
