Chapter 12

Jennifer then walks back into the room and gets the sedation "ok, it will hurt but only for a little minute then you'll sleep" I explain as Jennifer makes her way over, but just as she came over Azura saw the needle and needless to say she weren't ok with it. As you'd probably guess Azura starts to freak out and get violent, so Marcus runs in and holds Azura down I just stand by as I can't believe what I'm witnessing as a tired and breathless Azura tries to fight back, she truly is so strong and amazing. I stay where I am to try and help the situation, once Marcus gets a good but safe hold on Azura to make sure she never got hurt Jennifer quickly takes the opportunity to inject the sedation in Azura's neck, when she finished Marcus lets go of Azura as Jennifer removes the needle and clears up what she has to, I see the frustration and discomfort Azura is in so I try to reassure her "shh, it's ok" I say as I start to stroke down Azura's nose to try and comfort her, softly I say "don't fight it AJ, just relax. Let the medicine work, I'll stay here with you" just as I finish my sentence Azura tries to move over to me obviously wanting the comfort "shh, don't move, I'll come to you" I say then I lift up her head and sit down, I get the pillow and put it on my legs then rest Azura's head back down on me.

Azura cuddles up into me more then falls asleep "that's it, just rest and sleep, my new bezzy now hey? Got a new bezzy to hang with" I say stroking her hair, as I remain stroking a sleeping Azura's hair Jennifer puts the oxygen mask on Azura "thanks boys for your help, both of you" she says looking between me and Marcus. Marcus looks at me "wow dude, I have to admit that's impressive" I felt so humbled all I done was approach and treat Azura the way I do my mom's best friend's son but I guess it worked, hey you just do what you gotta do "no probs Mrs. B and it was nothing really" I say starting to blush a bit. Jennifer looks at me and smiles, while Marcus and I look at Azura as I carry on stroking her, I think we'll get on just fine.
