Chapter 5
Jake removed the stick-on yellow note stuck in his mailbox in the office of Jefferson High. The principal of the school wanted to see him right away.
This could not be good.
For the last couple of days since returning from his disastrous night spent with Damian, he’d been hiding out in his house afraid to even go to the grocery store for fear people who’d known him most of his life would be pointing at him. He folded the note and stuck it into his pants pocket.
The principal’s office was down the long hallway. Unfortunately, Jake remembered it well from his own high school days. He tapped on the closed door.
