Jake entered his lonely empty house more depressed than he’d been in a hell of a long time. He had no job, no boyfriend, nobody sharing his house with him. Apparently no friends. He walked into the kitchen, flicked on the light, and looked in the refrigerator for something to eat. It was almost noon now. After he’d resigned as coach, he’d driven around for a while, wondering how he’d gotten to this point. For a few minutes he’d even cursed Damian.
