PROLOGUE
Ever wondered how well humans, werewolves and other creatures get along? Well I'll tell you how. My name is Dre Jackson and I'm a werewolf. I'm not much of a talker so you will find more about me as I tell my story.

I'm currently on the run with three of my friends. Running through the forest isn't hard for us especially when we're moving at inhumane speed but we are not just exercising. No, we are being chased by a mob of angry werewolves. A killer howl could be heard through the forest. I know that howl very well. That was Ryder the alpha of the Nashville pack. "Keep going east,"Eli commanded. Eli, Mark, Seth and I used to be part of the pack until we found out a bitter truth and decided to break out of the pack. Ryder wasn't pleased with our plan and is leading a search part to hunt us down.
"How much longer Eli,"Mark asked,“I'm not used to running this far".
“Almost there, we should be approaching the boarder now," replied Eli. We knew that if we get passed the boarder, Ryder couldn't follow us because we would no longer be in his territory. Another of Ryder's howl could be heard and we knew he will soon catch up with us.
Luckily, we could see the road leading out of Nashville and the sign of the next town “Asheville". “Look out!"Mark yelled. I had been so caught up with running that I didn't sense the wolf whose claws narrowly missed my thighs. Out of nowhere five more wolves came out and formed a circle around us.
“Scout wolves,"I muttered. Ryder always positions wolves at the boarder of his territory to guard against enemies. Another of Ryder's howl could be heard.
“He's close,"Seth whispered,“ let's fight our way out of this".
“No!"Eli whispered back, it was visible that he was shaking but it wasn't of fear but because he was about to do something brave. “I'll distract them while you guys go on." Before we could oppose, he took a giant leap towards the forest with five scout wolves catching after him.
Seth didn't waste time tackling one of the remaining scout wolves, while Mark and I took on the other wolf. With Mark's assistance, some punches to the ribs and a skull-crushing punch was enough to put our wolf to rest. Seth had literally ripped the wolf into two. “Let's go," he said without a hint of feeling in his voice-you can't blame him though. Then we heard it, a howl of pain, defeat and certain death.
We continued running towards Asheville in absolute silence. After few minutes we arrived at Asheville.
“Let's look for somewhere to rest,"Seth said. Normally I would have opposed to why he was giving the instructions but I am too tired to even speak and it seems like Mark too didn't feel like objecting. We found an abandoned shed and decided to sleep there till morning.
