Alessia Walton is the wife of Thomas Walton, a successful CEO and powerful billionaire. On their third marriage anniversary, Alessia’s husband informed her of the decision to part ways in their marriage. Initially, she's open to letting bygones be bygones and parting ways peacefully. But she found out her husband had been going out with a mistress, who happens to be Alessia’s step-sister who had bullied her and taken advantage of her since they were teenagers, so she decided to take revenge on both of them. Alessia seeks revenge by collaborating with her ex-husband’s business rival George Williams to annihilate her husband’s reputation. Helping Alessia was only half of George's intention; he also hoped to win her heart and would never say no to her request. Dinner Mayhem
"You were never enough for me." Alessia Walton's eyes widened in shock as the fork slipped from her hold; banging to the plate. Are you referring to me? she asked her husband Thomas Walton while her voice trembled in shock. Both of them were having dinner in a newly built Villa gifted to them by Thomas's parents for their third anniversary, savoring a delicious Steak au Poivre with a cognac cream sauce, accompanied by roasted vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes, all infused with the subtle kick of freshly ground black pepper. The classical music playing softly in the room from the speaker sounded far away to her as she stared at Thomas. She felt a lump form in her throat; tears welled up in her eyes, threatening to spill and destroy the perfect façade of her carefully crafted makeup. Alessia never liked to cry, it turned her face so red and specked. Thomas dropped the utensils he was using to eat, and picked up the napkin next to his plate to wipe his mouth, then carefully removed a tiny pepper stain from his clean-cut suit. “Why are you crying now, I am not done talking,” he said. “Where is this coming from Thomas?” Alessia asked, her voice trembling on the edge of tears. She rubbed her face with the little handkerchief she had in her bag, to prevent her tears from falling. She was angry but not really shocked. Angry with him for the audacity he had to utter such hurtful words, and for surprising her with a trip to the amazingly beautifully built house just to ruin her mood in this way. “Why was he speaking like this?” Alessia wondered, his words pierced her like a knife. Why must you talk like this today; this is our anniversary for goodness sake! Alessia exclaimed. “Thomas's voice was devoid of emotion as he shook his head. I have not been happy for a long time, Alessia. I have come to realize it’s because of us. Because of you.” He refused to look her in her eyes, but instead looked at the filthy napkin he was holding. When was the last time you dressed well for me and took your time to look good for me? You are so boring, you barely interact with me, it’s like living with a ghost. Do you ever love me? Alessia stood up so fast, that her chair fell off the ground, the sound echoed through the room. Her body was shaking, and she was so disappointed. She has loved Thomas so much and, she gave up who she was for the sake of the love she had for him. Even presently, despite all the cruel words he was saying to her, devoid of even an inch of remorse, she didn’t hate him. This Thomas was never the man I got married to, the Thomas I said “I do” to on our wedding day was a loving and kind man. Alessia's thoughts were laced with sadness. During their marriage, Alessia realizes he has changed. By some means, his love for her had subsided, and was never aware of where it had gone. “I’ve always been in love with you Thomas”, she said calmly. “But I am not sure you ever loved me”. Have you ever for once asked me why I became silent just of a sudden? Did you try to find out why your lovely girlfriend changed so much a few years after she became your wife? Henry just looked at her apathetically, as if he couldn’t hear her talking. This made Alessia want to lose composure and break down in front of him so he could see how much she was hurt. She had done a lot for him, she had sacrificed so much to protect him. Thomas pushed his chair back, rose to his feet, and threw the messy napkin he was holding at his plate. Alessia spent over three hours preparing the meal, only for Thomas to eat half of it. He grabbed his jacket from the arm of the chair and put it on quickly without looking at her face. “Listen to me Thomas”, she begged. I thought we were here for a romantic date, unknown to me at this time that you only wanted to put me in deep sorrow. Now you won’t give a response to all I’ve been saying? Alessia's husband signed heavily, as he adjusted his cuff-links. “There is no point in wasting our time anymore”, Alessia. My love for you already faded away, I don’t love you anymore. He came closer to her gently, thinking she would give him a stinging slap; indeed Alessia felt like slapping him so hard to leave a mark on his bearded face. There is nothing sweet or light about her life at the moment. “We have not been living like a couple for a very long time” Thomas proceeded. “I’m walking away from this relationship” Her throat was paralyzed with emotion. “Thomas…….” “ I have found the love and peace you are not capable of giving me somewhere else, she has been making me happy and telling me how much she adores me. At the same time, she makes herself beautiful and dresses well for me. How do you expect me not to fall for her? “Who the hell is she?” Alessia yelled. She felt like the ground should open and swallow her up. She stood where she was, still as a stone, and listened to Thomas reveal he was leaving her for another woman on the day of their anniversary. Thomas picked up and opened his briefcase, bringing out some thick office paper. This time Alessia couldn’t hold her tears anymore as he held out the document to her hand-to-hand. “Your tears don’t matter now as it would change absolutely nothing. Look, I’ve prepared everything. Let’s make it easier for the both of us to avoid stress”. Impulsively, she slapped the document from his hand, her soul was aflame with a burning sense of injustice. Her face had turned red from the force of her tears. She was embarrassed now by her attempts to make the day special for him. She had spent hours in the kitchen preparing three types of different meals of his Favourite foods. Earlier today she just ordered the brand new Lani-Black gown in red, Thomas’s best color, and trimmed her long brown hair which fell above her waist, because Thomas loves to run his hand through the length of her hair. What a waste of time. He had wasted her time and her love. Thomas put the remaining paper on the table and came close to her. With his massive palm, he held her jaw gently and gave her a soft kiss on her forehead. “It’s over Alessia”, don’t be difficult and make sure you sign the papers. She pushed him away, her heart breaking into a thousand shards. “I trusted you Thomas. I am devoted and gave you everything”. Through a veil of tears, Alessia watched the man she had given her life for three years walk out without a second glance. As he slammed the door, she allowed herself to confront the magnitude of her loss and let out a despairing wail; she fell to the ground crying heavily. What a cruel way to put an end to their marriage. Alessia was here today thinking it was to talk things out, close the distance between her and Thomas, and fix the problem in their marriage. She was so excited when Thomas came in with bouquets, her thought was that he was trying to mend the piece of her cracked heart. Surprisingly, In the blink of an eye, Thomas Walton put an end to three years of marriage. Alessia gave up on love.
