Chapter Twelve

Two weeks went by slowly as time was teasing us. The day before the appointment with Carol, we got a call from Jess.  I answered the phone, “Winters.” I heard Jess come over the phone, “Monica, it is Jess.” My heart dropped to my stomach as I rubbed the round of mine, “Hi Jess. I am excited to hear what you have for us.” Jack and I have been trying to keep the adoption a secret just in case if it didn’t work out. Jack has cleared out the club for tomorrow so we can announce the twins and hopefully the adoption.

I heard Jess click on something on her computer, “Well I got some big news for you. I just got the email.” I sighed. “Jess, you are going to get a little Jack out of me right now. Spill it. Are we going to have a baby boy at our wedding?” Jess laughed, “That is such a Jack move. We can move forward with the adoption. We can sign off what we can tomorrow if Carol agrees.” I smiled, “Whatever she decides. She has the support of Jack and I.” She clicked away on her keyboard, “We are still giving the option for an open adoption?” I smiled, “We want to make sure she has the option even if she doesn’t want it today but decide later on then she has that option.” She sighed, “I just want to warn you that she can choose not to go through with the adoption shortly after the baby is born.”

I nodded my head as I read some reports, “Yes, I understand, and we will support Carol no matter what. This is a tough decision.” I sat back in my chair, “It is not fair to her or the baby. Either one of them asked for this.” Her voice changed to sweet and soft, “Like Jack said you have a heart of gold.” I smiled, “Thanks Jess. This decision on our part was an easy one.” She sounded like she was crying, “When you talk to Jack, let him know that I got the invite for tomorrow and I will be there. I can’t imagine what it will be.” I laughed, “What do you mean, Jess?” She laughed as he hung up.

I dialed Jack’s office as it rang. I fidgeted, “Pick up... Pick up.” The phone rang until I heard his voice, “Jack Jackson, Here.” I smiled, “Hey my love.” He chuckled, “Baby Girl, what do I owe the honor for this call?” I jumped up, “Jack.” He laughed, “What? Split, Baby Girl.” I nodded my head, “Jess called.” He sighed, “And?” I softly told him, “We got approved.” I heard Jack dropped the phone screaming then he picked it up, “Sorry Baby Girl. I am just so excited.” I laughed, “Me too. I almost dropped mine when Jess told me.” He laughed, “I see you when I get home.” I smiled, “Yes, I am about to pack up here. I am meeting Abby for some wedding stuff.”

I picked up a resume, “Oh. I got a pretty impressive application for the nanny position.” He asked, “What next then?” I read the paper to myself as I answered him, “Just ran the background check and checked her references. I will send it to you and give me your thoughts tonight.” He typed on his keyboard, “Great.” I placed the application down, “If we both agree then I will call her in the morning for an interview.” He chuckled, “Sound like a plan Baby Girl. I will see you tonight then.” I smiled, “See you tonight, Oh and Babe.” He sighed, “Baby girl?”

I c****d my head with the bag that had my purchase in it, “Try not to think too much about what I may be when you get home.” He groaned, “Oh. My. God. Baby girl. You know that I am not going to think straight for the rest of the day. You are such a tease.” I smiled with the satisfaction of what I was doing, “I know. Love you.” I hung up with him as I got ready to head out to see Abby.

I met with Abby for dinner at Mike’s Pizza as Abby looked at me, “Jack working late tonight?” I nodded, “One of the bartenders called out sick.” She sighed, “Rick said he was pretty pissed about it. I guess it was about something that you said on the phone. I guess he has been mumbling about.” I laughed, “I told him not to think about what I would be wearing when he got home from work.” She laughed, “You Vixen.” I laughed as she wiggled her eyebrows, “So split. What are you planning?” I picked up the bag from the store that I stopped by during lunch. I pulled out a silk and laced panties and bra with a see-through bathrobe. She shook her head, “Oh. You are good.” I smiled, “Yup.”

I looked at the customer that was sitting across from us that I completely forgot that he was there as he saw what I had in my hands. I blushed as he gave me a wink then I placed back into the bag quickly. Abby laughed, “I think he will be using that show to his imagination tonight.” I shook my head, “Abby.” She shrugged, “What?” I whispered to her, “I don’t feel comfortable when another guy looks at me that way. If Jack would just walk in.” I threw my hands up like a bomb went off. She shook her head, “Good point. That would not end well for that guy.” I nodded my head, “Exactly.” We both laughed then started planning the wedding and the things we still have left to check off.

Abby sat back, “Are you sure that you are not having twins? You look like you are. I blushed without realizing by my reaction to her that I just told her, “Nope.” She laughed, “I call bullshit. Wait, that is what the announcement is about tomorrow night. I freaking knew it.” She pointed at my growing belly as I rolled my eyes, “That and we have another surprise. But you can’t tell you, yet. Please, don’t tell Rick or Jack that you know. She winked, “Oh is this about the adoption thing, too.” She covered her mouth as I narrowed my eyes, “You knew?”

She shrugged, “I guess was getting too bottled up by keeping it a secret from Rick. I mean they do tell each other everything. Jack let it slip out last night that you two were waiting for the word.” I rolled my eyes, “And Rick told you.” She laughed, “I am surprised that you held out as long as you did.” She waved her hand, “I am shocked that Jack didn’t scream it out on the roof top when you two were planning it all out.” I laughed, “We just found out that our application was approved.”

I sat back as I rubbed my belly, “Remember what he did after the movie when he found out I was pregnant?” She rolled in laughter, “Girl, I thought we were going to have the cops called on us. Screaming like a wild man.” She threw her hands up like Jack was that night, “I am going to be a daddy. This woman that I love. My baby girl is having my baby.” I laughed so hard that I thought I peed myself, “Luckily the guy that lives close to our house was cool about it.”

I caught my breath from laughing, “He even stopped by after you two left with a card and champagne.” She shook her head, “Who answered the door?” I laughed, “Jack did. He told Jack that some wild animal was running around saying that he got this beautiful woman pregnant. He would normally shoot wild animals but this one brighten his night up.” She spit out her soda, “You never told me that.” I tilted my, “I thought I did. You know my mind lately.” She laughed, “Pregnancy Mind.” I nodded my head, “Yup, one minute it is there then the next I can’t find it.”

Jack got home that night as I was waiting in our bedroom with my bra and panties on with the see-through bathrobe. He dropped everything at the doorway as he stalked towards me. He stripped down quicker than he usually slowly strips down, “Baby girl.” I looked up at him as he leaned over me, “My love.” He traced the bra along my breasts, “Wow, you are breath taken.” He leaned his lips into mine.

He traced his lips down my neck onto my breast and down my stomach. He lightly traced my panties with his fingers that made me shiver, “Jack. Take me.” He threw his head back as he moaned as I ran my hands through his head, “Baby girl. I am going to do more than just take you. I need to drink you and feel you.” I smiled as he pulled my panties down as he found my c**t with his tongue. “Jack.” 

I screamed as he placed two fingers into me as he wiggled his fingers deep inside. I grabbed him by his hair as he looked up at me and smirked, “Jack, I need you inside of me, now.” He lifted up so he was over me with my legs wrapped around his waist, “Eager are we tonight.” He teases his tip around the entrance as I push towards him, “Hormones, Now take me.”  He threw his head back as he laughed, “As you wish, Baby Girl.” He pushed himself deep inside of me as he moaned, “Monica.”

He slammed in and out of me as I arched my back while screaming his name, “Jack.” He picked up the pace as he pushed into me deeper with each stroke of his c**k until he released deep inside of me. He collapsed over me then rolled on to the bed to rub my stomach. He looked at me and smirked, “Those hormones are going to be the end of me. I may have to stay home with you all day and night to make sure you are being satisfied.” I smacked him on his arm, “Oh, don’t use that an excuse to make sure you are buried inside of me all day long.” He laughed as he kissed me.

In the morning we set up an interview next week for the nanny position with Cindy then we went to the doctors for a check on the twins before heading to the adoption agency. Jess walked up to us in the lobby, “Monica. Jack. The big day.” Jack nodded, “It sure is.” She smiled at us; Carol is already in my office “We followed her into her office as we gave Carol a hug. Carol smiled, “I am really nervous. Jess said she may have found a good fit for this little guy.”

She rubbed her stomach, “I want to thank the both of you for all you have done.” I smiled at her, “Carol, we want to make sure that you have a chance of happiness as well as for your baby to have that same opportunity.”  She smiled as we sat around Jess’s desk as Jess held a file in her hand, “You ready to see the couple’s profile? I think you are going to be very impressed.” Carol looked at me and Jack as she nervously reached for the file. She took a deep breath as I reached my hand into hers after she took the file, “It is ok. I am sure they will be a perfect fit for your son.” She gave a small smile as she opened the file as she looked shocked.

She took a minute to look at the file then looked at us, “Are you serious?” Jack smiled, “Carol, you have become family to us. It is the only right that we could take care of that son of your.” I placed my other hand in Jack’s hand, “Whatever you decide, we will stand by you.” She took a deep breath, “You two are the perfect fit. I wanted this from the day you two got involved with this process. And now, my son can have a family and siblings.”

 Jess reached over to Carol, “You don’t have to decide today which type of adoption that you would like to do. Jack and Monica have made this process very easy for you to go either way you want then if you changed your mind about it there is a way that you can back out of it. You are very lucky the way they are having this adoption setup. With that being said, they would like you involved with their lives after the adoption” Carol looked at us, “Really. You still want me in your lives after?” I smiled, “Of course we do. This is not your baby or your fault. We want you to be part of this baby because this baby is part of you. It is your choice if you want to be or not be in our lives.” Carol started to cry as Jack got up and wrapped his arms around her, “You are family. We love you and that baby.” She looked at me as I smiled, “We will continue being your family no matter what.” We signed what we could until the baby was born.

We took Carol out to lunch as we talked about names and the future of the baby. She smiled at us, “You guys are the best.” Jack shrugged his shoulder, “We can’t help it.” I elbowed Jack’s ribs, “What he meant to say was Thank you.” She laughed as we finished up our lunch with Carol with some ideas of how Carol would like to see her son’s future with us.
