Luna held onto Carla’s mother tightly as the woman sobbed uncontrollably, her cries echoing through the sterile hospital corridors. Luna’s own heart felt like it was being squeezed, fear and guilt mixing into a storm of emotions that she could barely contain. Security guards rushed past them, checking every corner of Carla’s room and the attached bathroom, but their grim faces confirmed Luna’s worst fears—Carla was gone. Luna’s instincts kicked in. She fumbled for her phone, her fingers trembling as she quickly dialed Sophia. The line barely rang before Sophia answered, her voice sharp and full of authority. “What’s going on, Luna?” Sophia asked. “Carla’s gone!” Luna cried, her voice breaking. “She disappeared. I think… I think she’s been abducted. There’s no other explanation!” Sophia
