Ancient Prophetess Chapter 9

The water carried the general and the Queen into a dirty tunnel in the forest. The tunnel was filled with dead trolls and human skeletons. The general helped the Queen to the left corner of the tunnel. The passing water reached their ankle and the general is shivering with cold. He held the Queen by the neck and felt her heartbeat.

"Don't die yet" he whispered to her. He went closer to one of the dead trolls and used his dagger to open his body, got a handful of it's blood and used it to treat the wound on the Queen's stomach where she was stabbed. He was told that the blood of a dead troll treats all kinds of wounds. The Queen opened her eyes and looked into his eyes.

"Don't die yet" he whispered again but the Queen didn't talk. She closed her eyes again.

At Ideje, the king had sent out a search party to search for the general and the Queen from Oguma. They returned empty handed and the king didn't have to think much about it. He sent for the prophetess. She approached him and bowed.

"You must have heard what one of my generals did. For him to disobey my orders shows he must have made a promise to you? Did you know his mission was to save your daughter from the king of Oguma and did you know that right now they can't be found after one of my soldiers stabbed your daughter?'" The king asked.

The prophetess raised her head, "She was stabbed?" She asked.

"Yes she was and I implore you to remove your mind from her and do what needs to be done for nothing will stop me from killing them both if they happen to return some day. I will still keep to my promise of not killing any citizen of Oguma whom you chose over your daughter. Get prepared and be the spirit that will lead my army to war against Oguma"

The prophetess bowed and went back to her shrine full of thoughts. If she refused the king of Ideje from granting his wish of fortifying his soldiers he might decide to kill the innocent citizens of Oguma whom the prophetess held at heart so much.
