The Visit Michał didn’t like to put shoes on. But he wanted to go see Stefan. He only went to see him anymore. Everybody else had ceased to interest him. From early morning he’d had the desire to see that one person and have a talk with him. He hadn’t left his house for several weeks. He was thinking that everything was coming to an end. He’d get that kind of feeling every couple of months, ever since he’d come to live in this place. And it was a strong feeling.
