Episode 1:Rejected by the alpha
Lisa~
I hesitated, my voice trembling as I looked up at him.
“Babe… don’t you think it’s too early for this?”
Simon’s eyes darkened—not with anger exactly, but with something colder.
“Come on, Lisa. I’m not some stranger. You’re my mate. What harm could it possibly do if we sleep together? Or…” He narrowed his eyes. “Are you seeing someone else?”
“No! No, it’s not that. I just…” My words tripped over my tongue. I didn’t want to upset him. Not tonight.
He sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
“Listen. Everyone in the Ember Pack already knows we’re together. And I’m not just anyone, Lisa. I’m the Alpha. Stop acting like you don’t belong with me. You will be my Luna.” I bit my lip hard, forcing back the tears that threatened to fall. “I’m just an omega,” I whispered.
Simon stepped closer, lifting my chin until I was forced to look into his eyes.
“And who says an omega can’t be a Luna? I chose you. No one can question that. Besides…” A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. “It’ll be harder for the elders to object if you’re pregnant before the next Clans Gathering. No one’s going to reject the mother of my heir—omega or not. So stop crying. Come here.”
I stared at him, trying to believe it. Trying to believe him. That everything would be okay.I moved forward and let myself fold into his arms, resting my head on his chest. His heartbeat thundered against my cheek, a steady rhythm I desperately wanted to trust. Maybe, if I stayed here long enough, all the doubt in my head would disappear.
I’m just an omega. Not even a strong one. Just a maid in the Beta’s house—an orphan with nothing but my brother, Richard. Our parents died when I was a child, my father in a war he wasn’t meant to fight, Mother from the heartbreak that followed. Richard became the Beta family’s driver. I became the help, thanks to the Beta’s daughter—Mira—my best friend.I had kept my relationship with Simon a secret. People would’ve judged me, and worse, judged him. But he didn’t seem to care. And that gave me hope.
His hands slid across my skin, heat rising beneath every inch he touched. I closed my eyes and kissed him, pouring all the fear and love I felt into that kiss. He tasted like promise.
“You’re so sweet,” he murmured against my lips. I blushed, shy and warm. He was the only man I’d ever been with. The only one I ever wanted.
“Let’s do it,” I whispered.
The moment the words left my mouth, he didn’t hesitate. My clothes were gone in seconds, scattered across the floor as he pulled me beneath him. He didn’t ask again. He just took.
And I let him.
Later that day, he dropped me off near the house, and I slipped inside, smiling to myself. Everything felt so perfect.
“Coming from your boyfriend’s house, huh?” Mira teased, stepping into the hallway. I blushed instantly.
“Who’s this mystery man you won’t even let your best friend meet?” she asked, crossing her arms.
I laughed. “You’ll meet him soon.”
“When? At your wedding?” She rolled her eyes. “You’re so secretive these days.”
“I’m not! I just want everything sorted first. Then I’ll introduce you properly.”“You better.” She grinned and rushed off. “I need to grab something—see you later!”
I headed to the kitchen, knowing the Beta would be home soon. I needed to prepare lunch.
“Already handled,” Richard said. “Mira did it for you.”
I let out a relieved sigh. “Thank the goddess.”
“She’s really nice,” Richard added, his tone casual. But I knew what he meant. He’d been in love with Mira for years but never had the courage to tell her.
“Until someone else takes her away,” I said, nudging him as I walked past. “Ladies’ room—out of bounds!”He groaned. “Tell her for me, at least!”
I laughed and shut the door behind me. That was his battle to fight, not mine.
My phone buzzed.
Simon: Go pick up your dress from the boutique. I already paid. Wear it for the Clans Gathering.
I smiled, heart swelling with warmth. A Luna’s dress. He really meant it.
Me: I’ll pick it up tomorrow.
I lay down on my bed, still buzzing from the way he made me feel. I drifted off with a smile.Mira shook me awake that night, practically glowing.
“What’s going on?” I asked, sitting up.
She twirled in place, grinning. “The Alpha said he’ll choose me as his Luna!”
The words froze me.
I laughed it off, trying to hide the sting in my chest. “Wait, so you’re dating an Alpha and you didn’t tell me?”
“Coming from the girl with a mystery lover?” she shot back playfully.
“So… which pack is he from?”
She winked. “It’s a secret. You’ll find out in three days.”
Three days.
That’s when Simon would announce me.
Double celebration, I thought. Two Lunas from the same house.
The next day, I picked up the dress Simon paid for. A red gown that shimmered like firelight, paired with silver heels. It was perfect. I couldn’t stop smiling.
The next two days passed in a blur.
And then it was time.
The Clans Gathering.
I walked out of the house ready—nervous, glowing—and stopped short when I saw Mira.
She was wearing the same dress. Only the shoes were different.
We stared at each other.
“Coincidence,” she said with a shrug.I nodded, forcing a smile. Maybe she was right.
Richard drove us to the venue. When we arrived, Mira excused herself and walked straight toward the Alpha’s quarters—like she belonged there.
My heart skipped. Why was she going to Simon’s room?
I pushed the thought away.
Everyone gathered as the Beta raised his voice.
“The Alpha will now choose his Luna!”
Applause erupted. And then Simon stepped forward… holding Mira’s hand.
My heart cracked.
I couldn’t breathe.
I didn’t move.
I just… froze.
