The Werewolf King's Maid Mate

Chapter 8

Benjamin's POV

I can't believe I let myself lose control around her like that. I never lose control and it is an unknown feeling to myself. It felt so good with her though, just thinking about being in her presence makes me start to feel the lust again. I can't wait for her to meet her wolf at midnight, then she will be able to understand everything, feel everything that I feel. I know Jasper is just as excited to meet her wolf too and create a bond with her. I knock on Angelique's door, which is a few down from me.

"Helloooooooo" I slightly opened her door to realize that she was in the bathroom.

"It's just me, just going to go and get food for Kelathari. I wanted to know if you wanted me to pick you up anything", I shouted through the creak of the door.

"I will come along with you, just hold on a second and I will come on out". I heard the hair dryer go off in the distance, so I let myself in and took a seat on the sofa. Her room was very similar to mine, except mine was slightly larger with an additional sofa. I find myself reading a book on the history of the pack that had been left on her coffee table. This pack's history was very extensive, it makes me reflect on the time I had to fight Alpha James' father, Patrick. Patrick was very friendly with our neighbouring King Alexander. They went to school and college together, as I recall. It makes me even more suspicious of this pack honestly, which is why I tried to rush Angie initially to get us here quickly. Rumours are spreading amongst the other packs that James is working with Alexander in order to take my kingdom down and reclaim it as their own.

'Aahhhh Angie, I do believe we are probably being listened to verbally, so we shall have to mind link for now'

'Of course Benji, Gabriel should be here within the next day. Perhaps the latest will be two days to help with the situation here. How is Kelathari doing, by the way?' I let out a relieved sigh.

'She is in bed resting at the moment to have enough energy for her shift at midnight when she turns 18. I also lost control with her, which I am not proud of, but the bond is becoming very hard to resist. I am glad that it is this evening she will be shifting honestly, my wolf Jasper is becoming very restless.' I laugh to myself that Kelathari doesn't even realize the type of control that she has over me already.

'Ooooooo looks like someone wants to get buried in their mate already hahahaa' I hear her laughing out lotus as she walks into the bedroom and throws the towel towards me.

"Come on Benji, let's go get some food, I'm starving and would love to see more of the Alpha and Luna. Also, I was speaking to the guards. They told me that there was going to be a full moon tonight. It's very lucky that Kelathari will be shifting on a full moon, a lot less painful" She smiled at me as she went to open the door.

"Oh yes, what a coincidence." I stopped where I was standing and thought for a second. What a blessing the moon goddess has given me. I find my mate when there is due to be a full moon and she will be able to shift during it, which means she will be in less pain.

We walked towards the dining hall where there is a lot of laughter and chatter occurring. The smell of the delicious food fills my nostrils and I come to realize just how hungry I am and my stomach agrees as it begins to rumble quite loudly.

"Looks like someone is ready to eat all the food available" Angie punches my arm playfully and starts laughing. I laugh alongside her as we walk into the hall and join the queue for food. Everyone stops to bow and show their necks as a sign of respect.

"Thank you, now please all continue eating. It was a great atmosphere as I was walking in". I smile fondly at Snowfall Pack and they smile back as they return to the conversations that they were previously having.

"Hello my King, my name is Chef Andrea. On the menu for tonight is BBQ brisket and burgers with a range of salad and sides to go alongside it which you are welcome to help yourself to" She gestured at the rest of the long table to me.

"Thank you Chef, do you know a girl called Kelathari? I believe that she is a maid here and may have worked with you".

"Yes I do, my King. She is a very helpful and sweet girl. Sadly, she is bullied and beaten a lot due to her being an orphan." I notice that she looks down sadly at her hands.

"Ah, no need to worry that won't happen anymore now that I am here! Please could you fix her a plate of food whilst I get some for myself. I would then ask, if possible, could you get the food brought up to my room with some drinks and a large jug of water. My beta would also like to dine by herself in her room, so if the same could be done with her food, we would appreciate that a lot."

"Of course, my King, anything you require I shall do for you" She happily grabs a plate and starts to grab different food and sides for Kelathari. I observe what food it is that she picks up and what she avoids, so I can start to learn Kelathari's likes and dislikes. I grab my food and at the end of the table both Angie and I pass our plates over to Chef Andrea, who calls over a few maids and instructs them to prepare drinks to take up to both of our rooms.

Angie and myself made small talk and a small detour on the way back to our rooms as we wanted to see more of what Snowfall Pack has to offer. As we were walking around, we heard shouting coming from the direction of our rooms. We both exchanged a concerned glance as we both picked up the pace. I focused my hearing on that area.

"What do you think you are doing in the King's bed sleeping?! Just wait until the Alpha and Luna hear about this, they are sure to make you a rogue after this, you stupid girl. The king should have his needs met by an Omega, not some low-life maid! Get out now before he gets back. You better hope the Alpha doesn't put you back in hospital for this!" With that being said, I turned the corner and saw Kelathari being dragged out of the room by her beautiful white hair whilst she was sobbing. I feel Jasper coming forward ready to kill the woman that is doing this and saying these horrible things to his mate. I can see that my vision is starting to become blurry as Jasper is coming forward and fur is starting to sprout out of my arms.. The next thing I know, I am being thrown against the wall, seeing my vision becomes clear again and I look forward to see that Angie is holding me against the wall.

'Benji, you need to focus, no one knows that she is your mate yet. Don't go running in and killing people. Don't forget we are also here to see if King Alexander is having any influence here. We won't be able to complete our mission if you cause too much of a disruption and they ask us to leave. You may be the King, but we are heavily outnumbered here. Please try to keep the peace' saw Angie's expression soften as she let go of me. I give her a simple nod to show her that I am back in control of my emotions. The group of ladies surrounding Kelathari down the hall all stared at me in shock. They realize who I am straight away and bow in submission, showing their necks.

"Is there a problem here ladies? Is that the food that I asked Chef Andrea to bring? Why thank you. What is your name please?"

"Of course, my King. My name is Gloria, I am the head maid here at Snowfall Pack. We found a maid sleeping in your bed. We just took her out and were going to report it to the Alpha and Luna for you. We will make sure she is punish-" I could feel the rage building up inside me again as she spoke.

"Oh you don't need to do that, I want her in there. Please release her so that she is able to join me for dinner"

"But my King, there are plenty of Omegas here in this pack which can actually attend to your wants and needs, not some maid."

"Gloria, thank you for your concern. However, I am able to determine for myself who can meet my wants and needs, so I ask you again to please release her so that she is able to join me for dinner. If you don't voluntarily release her, I will take her from you and report it to your Alpha and Luna to say that you are making my stay rather uncomfortable and I will seek your punishment" I give Gloria my biggest smile as she releases Kelathari back to me.

"Thank you, please set up dinner in mine and my Beta's room as quickly as possible please, it's getting rather late and I would rather not eat this delicious food cold". I took Kelathari's arm calmly and walked her into my room.

'Angelique get as much rest now as possible. I feel that we will need to be at full strength for Kelathari's shift tonight. Something tells me we may face some issues with either her not being strong enough or the pack being up to something. I don't know what it is I just have a feeling that it is going to be a long night and I would rather have us both there protecting her'

'Of course. Benji, I am always here for you both, that is my future Queen. I would do anything for her'

I smiled and briefly nodded at Angelique as she walked down the hall to her room and I walked inside mine. Kelathari had walked off into the bathroom. I can hear her silently crying, not loud enough for normal ears to hear, but certainly loud enough for me to hear.

"There you go, my King, everything is set up. Please let us know if you need anything else", Gloria and the other two maids bowed towards me.

"Thank you", I watch them as they leave the room and listen to their footsteps become quieter as they walk down the hall.

I made my way to the bathroom to see Kelathari.
