The golden scythe

After buying stuff from the store, Rico finds a weird note in his plastic bag. He opens it, the note says. 'After you finish reading this letter you’ll have to choose between three choices. The three choices you have are: stay in this world, be the same person as you yourself right now. Have a happy and simple life, still in this same world, but in another person’s body. And lastly, have fun adventures in another world.' Rico chuckles, “It’s just the start of the letter, yet they already gave out the choices. Anyways, who is even the stupid person who- oh, it doesn’t say where it came from? This could mean trouble.” *He continued to read the letter while walking to his apartment* 'Greetings, human, we’ll need your help. Your decision will determine what will happen to our one and only beloved world. We apologize, since we can’t tell you which of the choices you should pick. But whether you get the wrong option or not, we’ll still ensure your safety and pay you as much since we took your time reading this letter. We beg of you human, please choose wisely.' Rico stayed up all night that day, trying to think about which of the choices is the one that could help the land and its people. “Wait, they’re from the other world. Oh god, I’m so stupid. I could’ve arrived there earlier if only. I had seen the obvious choice a while ago. Now I’m worried about their condition.” He quickly encircled the otherworld choice, then lots of sparkly lights circled around him, teleporting him to a dark place. It then revealed many screens, telling him various information about the weapons in the room, then a voice told him to choose armor and weapons quickly. A weird but powerful looking scythe got his attention, so he picked it as his main weapon, then took some extra items like armor and food, then fled to the portal. Once he got transported to the world, he was told by a random voice to go to the living room, He was stunned, since a lot of other adventurers are also there, speaking the same human language as he does. Someone exclaims “Hey look, there’s someone new, let’s give them a very warm welcome!!”. Rico greeted them, but the adventurers started asking him many questions, like what his name is, what country he came from before getting into that world. They were already having fun talking to each other just when someone suddenly noticed the scythe hanging on Rico's back. "Hey Rico, what's that weird-looking weapon or whatever that is on your back? Is that food?" An adventurer wearing red clothing asked. "It's my weapon. Why? Did you guys not go into a dark room with a lot of weapons information and their sets in them? As I know you're supposed to get them right?" Rico replies while confused. Rico takes a look at his scythe, and to his surprise, it looks different from how it was in the room before. The other adventurers started to chase him since they saw that the scythe’s stats are so high and they wanna take it for themselves. And of course, Rico also has to run for his life and his scythe, since he wouldn’t want to go on fighting monsters and creatures without any weapons at all. After running for so long, they all got very tired, but they kept persuading and forced themselves to chase Rico even more. Rico gasped for air, just as his luck was about to run out, he tripped on a rock. He then collapsed to the ground. "Ouch, that hurts. My body's all weak from all that running, what now?" Rico asks himself worriedly. "Oh look, Rico finally fell down too, guys let's get his items now! Strike him!" Says the same man in red clothing before. "Ahh, I guess my adventure already ends here even though I haven't even gotten to start it yet." Rico murmured to himself. Just as he was about to lose hope, a very tall and fit-looking man that didn’t look like he had been tired from all that running took him and then ran off in a different direction.
