Lost in the world of love

I silently walked into my arrogant boss's office as he sat quietly keeping himself busy on his laptop,I smiled looking at his handsome face he then looked at me who was lost in deep thought.. this man was my crush, the love of my life, but disappointedly I never got a chance with him. "Briana" he called out my name. Yeah am Briana Elias, not all people are born with a silver spoon I was one of them, I suffered so much to be where I am now, because am from a poor background but I never gave up on my life now am doing much but better and am working for the son of a billionaire in Chicago Aden Jackson and on this holiday am going to make him mine at any cost and of coarse I am not of the pretty ladies in the office he wouldn't resist me but he showed zero interest. "Briana" he called out my name again. "S..sir" I snapped stammering. "Where are the files I asked to you to collect?" he said "here sir" When he was talking the files from my hand, his fingers touched my hand and I could feel butterflies in my stomach, I smiled as my dimple appeared on my cheek, he glanced at me awkwardly and continued with his work, so boring, I left his office to my office where I found my best friend Angie waiting for me. "lover girl , where are you coming from" she said jokingly "is it wrong to love someone " I said as I sat and glanced at her "He didn't show any interest again right? girl come on move on this guy is just a crush right? you can fight those feelings and find some else for yourself" she said worriedly. For me all I ever wanted was Aden and nobody else, I was once lost in the world of love before and now i want him to be lost in love with me, I want him alone and that's final. "Briana, he has a 4 year old son am sure he is even connected to the mother of the kid" Angie's words really pained me, the fact that he had a child didn't matter to me but another, No, this was being too much now. "Angie can I be alone.please" She sighed as she left, I laid my head on the table wondering if I would be able to get what I wanted, my phone rang it was Aden so I answered it. "come to my office now have you forgotten you have to be by my side every minute?" he said rudely "I'll be there Sir" he hang up and I left quickly. I entered his office and he looked in a hurry, he wore his jacket it seemed like he was going somewhere. "call the driver now, I need to be somewhere right now" "somewhere?" I asked "are you deaf?" he said "okay sir I'll call him" I stepped aside and called the driver, he insisted on me going there with him, so I went along, when we arrived we found a old woman and a middle aged woman who looked a little older than me. "what happened? where is my son?" Aden asked "Aden am sorry I didn't mean to...." said the middle aged woman who was interrupted by Aden "stop right there.... you a wicked! pure evilness! you don't even deserve to be a mother, am even ashamed that I have a child with you Mira you always create problems in my life arent you happy?" "Aden.." said his mother Angelica Yeah that's right the middle aged woman is Mira Aden's Ex girlfriend who broke his heart. "No mom I won't listen to you today I have listened to you before but not anymore, if she could have paid attention to Charlie she would have known he is allergic to peanuts, I thought she actually changed and was going to spend this holidays with her son but no...No wonder why your own son dislikes you " Aden's voice was full of anger and bitterness, because the thing he prioritized and cherished the most was his son Charlie and could do anything for him, I looked at Mira who was busy sobbing. "Today itself you will leave my house and if anything happen to my son I'll not spare you remember am not just called Aden am telling you, you will regret you ever met me" he said in anger "But Aden mother said you will give me a second chance and I know you still love me" Mira said this as she rubbed her tears "Love you?..No Mira there you are wrong I actually moved on I love her" he said my hand as I shockingly stared at him he continued "she is my world and the best thing that ever happened to me, she is my daily pill and I don't need anything when am with her" They all looked at who as I looked down wondering what Aden has put me though "So leave my house and life Mira I'll take care of my son like before when you left us" he added as he went inside. Mira came to me and stood in front of me and said "are you going to baby another woman's child?" she angrily said. I gathered some courage and looked at her in the eye and said "as long as Aden is happy am also happy" then I followed Aden inside. I found him sitting on a bench raging wit anger I stood in front of him "move..have you forgotten am still your boss? " h e said "what have you dragged me into?" "Just pretend to be my girlfriend and I'll pay you double the money I pay you at the office all you need to do is look good for me you don't have to work" .This was a nice opportunity to get close to him but for some reason I felt like used or something. "am begging you at least do it for my son please help me.." he was looking down because he once praised himself to never beg or kneel down for a woman but today he was begging me so i assumed he was ashamed to beg. "I'll do it then" "Thank you Briana this means so much and I promise I won't let anything bad happen to you because you are now my responsibility" For some reason it felt cute and I could feel butterflies again. "I'll go home now I hope you'll be fine" "Yeah.I spoke to the doctor he said the boy is good you can go" "bye" I headed home where I found Angie waiting for me....another lecture of the day awaits me I said to myself.
