Chapter 6

1062 Words
Nick The SUV pulled up right in front of my mansion. In my arms, she lay motionless, like she was sleeping, and I observed her a little. I can feel sadness in her voice as she screams for help, like her life depends on her job as a stripper. Watching those cowards screaming in pleasure as she swung around the pole made my skin crawl. She looks innocent and tender. I wonder what makes her strip! I occasionally go to the bar. Anthony knows his s**t and I like it. I do remember that face. She used to be at the counter and the last time my driver almost ran her over, she looked like a mess. Broken without repair. I don't care for girls because they are all the same, always after money, but I can't help the pull I feel around this one. Slowly, I carried her out of the car, settling her in one of the guest rooms before leaving to have a talk with the boys. I hear there's a new gang in town, claiming to be more powerful than my clan, and we are about to find out. * After a long night out with the boys, I arrive home, only to find Tessa roaming around in circles in my mansion. From the look of things, she tried running away, but the guards stopped her. She stands before me impatiently, almost shaking her lungs out as her breath settles around. "I don't know what this is, but you have to release me this instant," she demands, and it sounds a bit funny listening to her childlike voice. "Look, I don't have what you want and this is wrong. I want to go home…." Hesitantly, I step forward, my brows narrow. "And which home are you talking about, Tessa? You and I know that you don't have anywhere to go." She trembles, her eyes widen and her lips part in confusion. I can feel how uncomfortable she is around me— such an innocent damsel. "Have you been stalking me?" Her voice shook a little as she confronted me. "Look, I don't know what's happening here, but you have no right Mister." I lean against the wall, my smirk feeling extremely suffocating as she swallows, averting her gaze at every turn. It's a good thing that my boys have gone hunting as usual. I wouldn't want this moment to go sore. "I did a little digging, and it seems you are in a bit of a mess, young lady." "And how is that your business?" She barks with so much anger. "You have no business poking into my affairs. I demand to be released from this prison. And if you think you can buy me off, just to warm your bed, then you are wrong. I will never stoop so low to doing that s**t with you." Interesting! I walk straight to my favorite bar, snatching a pack of cigarettes and whiskey to enjoy the moment. She is something, just like the boys inform. Slowly, I inhale that pleasing s**t from my cigarette and exhale it back into the air, my legs crossed as I smirk at the angry bird before me. "Let me go now…" she roars, and I clean my ear, trashing the cigarette in the ashtray. "I will find a way to involve the police if you don't. People will come looking for me and I promise you that I will never let this slide once the police get involved." "You don't have anyone, Tessa." "Huh?!" She glares at me, her fist clenching badly. I bet she will punch me so hard if given the opportunity. I am being a complete jerk despite being her hero. Slowly, she twists her lips and lets out a deep breath, exhaustion settling around her. "What is it you want?" She tilts her head back, exhaling deeply into the air with her eyes a bit softened. Tears well up her eyes, and they settle right before me, causing me to clear my throat and look away. I know that feeling— her entire life is a mess. I sigh, my expression is a bit tough even though I feel her pain. "What if I tell you that I can make it all go away?" I boldly clear the air, and she looks at me suspiciously. "You heard me right, Tessa." I walk majestically to my favorite sofa and pull my weight in with my legs crossed and another round of cigarette in my lips. "You want out of debts, right?" "What do you mean?" "I have a proposal for you and I think you happen to be the best candidate, but mind you, this isn't a negotiation. I always get what I want and right now, what I need is standing right before me and you are going to make it happen." "I don't understand," her voice trembles. "Tessa, you are going to give me a child in a year while I pay off your fees and change your life for good. And not to worry about the separation. After one year, you will have a certain percentage of my wealth as my baby's mother and, before that, you will appear to be my fake lover in public and one more thing, you will move into my mansion to have my baby. No strings attached." Right before my eyes, she trembled, her eyes flickering all around the living room. "W-What?!" She stammers, her lips shaking before me. I exhale my cigarette into the air and upset a glass of whiskey down my throat. She looks dumbfounded. I bet anyone will feel the same way, but we both know she has no choice. I rose, my fingers interlocking behind me, my eyes scanning every part of her body with a smirk dancing on my lips. She shakes as the smoke from my cigarette settles on her skin, her world completely frozen at my demands. "You have thirty minutes to decide," I declare, causing a jolt in her as she snaps back to reality. She tries to say a word, but it feels like her tongue feels stuck, her breath shortening. Slowly, I walk away, leaving her to her fate. But I already know what the future holds, and she's going to make that happen whether she likes it or not.
