Chapter 3

That night she thought all her questions inside her head will be answered but it's not, she was wrong, it even made it worse.

That weird experience never left her head the whole day, and added more questions that seems so hard to answer.. even more coz' Mr. Jimmy already Left..

That was the last night she saw Mr. Jimmy.. and thinking if he will ever come back...

Maize's Mother told her that Mr. Jimmy received an urgent call from his brother from there home town in Mindoro. That's all she knows. That situation left Maize clueless what's the reason for him to left without saying good bye.

She have this second thought inside her head if she will tell her mother what just happened that night..but Then she decided not to tell her.

Till fifteen days passed by and days become months..until half of the years had passed.

Every time she passes by to the forbidden place, she just stares the wall behind the fence as she promise not go closer to that walls again, until the right time will come but even in herself don't know when it will be.

One Monday morning.

Maize wake up early and climb to their roof together with her pet piggy.

There she saw the beautiful scenery of the town everything from up there is so small she slowly raised her hands grabbing things in air from afar while taking silly to her piggy. She tell story, funny story to her pig as if it was a real person but It was just staring at her then peeing and she laughed so hard when she saw it, then she suddenly stop as she remember something "flashed back." She remember her father, She was so happy back then when her father were still alive, even if there way of life is so simple they were so happy. Oh.. how she missed her father so much that her smile turn to sadness and tears start to fallout into her eyes.

She start singing a lullaby to feel comfort but makes her cry even more..she feel sad tears start falling freely, she was hurt deep inside and it still linger.

As she wipes all her tears she hears her brother Maddy calls her, while running, his raising his hand holding a letter from a postman.. He said that it's a letter from a unknown person and it's for Maize.

Maize's startled and stood up from the roof feel surprised about the letter. As the sun rose from the sky, sun rays touche the roof as it warms Maize's heart and her eyes twinkle like a star because of excitement. What will happen next..

Does Mr. Jimmy intentionally send the letter for her?.. what is it for?...

Maize immediately get off the roof

to see what the letter is for. She grab her piggy and jumps to the hays. Maddy was astounded for what her sister did.

"Whaaa- ! What's your doing!?"

"Maize! you must be more careful for what you do you might get killed! Foolish. I will tell Mom."

"Don't discourse me I'm fine thank you. Handed me the letter." Maize said to her brother.

But Maddy refuse..

"If only you can get it from me.."

Then Maddy starts to Run and Maize starts to chase him too.. Maddy run as fast as he could until he gets to the place where Maize used to avoid. As he sees his sister almost near to caught him he enters a door.. Maddy hides inside of it, and then wonder why is the door open it's supposed to be locked up, but he didn't mind it.

Maize On the other hand stares the place for she knows her brother is in there.. but still doubted if she will dare to enter. So she call his Name.

"Maddy! Maddy!.. I know your in there come out!..

"I'm so tired of running chasing you.. Maddy come out!.. It's not a good idea going there.. there a lot of snake I'm telling you..! .. Hey! Maddy common' come out!"

"I just want that letter.."

But Maddy still not responding. She starts to worried.. but still hesitant to enter..

She touched the door knob she feels the cold breeze and starts hearing loud noises of banging sound inside, she was terrified and also worried that's why she accidentally open the door and enters inside.

But she saw nothing but empty room.. It's was dark .

A sudden sound in the door way startled her. She saw her brother hiding behind a cabinet she call his name, but seems he didn't hear anything. Her eyes widened and petrified. Then she hears a cracking sound and water pouring behind her it was the water handles that turning. She couldn't move or even shout.

She saw her brother looking but his eyes sees nothing.. then Maddy look to the letter his holding at and starts opening it. His brother wonder it's just a blank white paper then he decided to go out.

while her sister still shouting and struggling for help the room turn to in to black with no doors. She was crying out loud.. but no one hears her nor saw her.

His brother in the other hand starts looking for her, he start looking every where. He was exhausted as he gets to there kitchen and saw his mother's cooking. He left the letter near the stove when he came back he saw a picture starts to appears in the blank paper, then he knew that it was a secret letter, so he exposed the letter to heat and vividly saw a beautiful drawing it was a place then signed by the sender..

His Name was Dann Defoe..
