MEADOW'S POV. "You two know each other?" Killian's question hung in the room. Neither Marshall nor I answered immediately. I simply stared at him in shock. I still couldn't believe he was standing here. Looking back now... I should have known the moment I reached Killian's door. Before I'd even knocked, I'd caught a familiar scent drifting from inside the room. It had stopped me in my tracks. I'd stood outside for a long moment, trying to remember where I'd smelled it before. It was so familiar... yet so impossible. My mind had searched through old memories over and over again, but nothing made sense. Even when a name briefly crossed my mind, I'd immediately pushed it away. No... it couldn't be. Marshall had walked away years ago. I had never seen him again after that day.
