DreamlessMonday. I stand nervously in the school car park smoothing down my new uniform. I take a deep breath and try to calm down. I’m killing time again, waiting. There’s one more thing I have to finalise before I make the decision to stay or go.
I ignore the stares of the passing students as Libby clutches my arm in excitement. She’s missed so much school due to illness, she wants to be here. The driver’s side door of the car clicks shut as Will joins us.
“Lead the way, LJ.” Will gestures grandly towards the buildings.
I breathe again and take a step forward, one foot in front of the other. I open the glass door and let the twins through first. I hover behind them as they approach the reception for their joining instructions.
“Lucy! You’re back. It’s good to see you.” I turn around
