“Of course your phones and tech work here. Everything from your world can be used her. But your phones are a little outdated compared to ours. But there isn’t a person in the world without a phone or internet. But give me your numbers, so we can stay in contact. When you go to the palace, your on your own. I can’t be caught at the palace because the Pyrothons will use it as an excuse to grab the prince.”

We all gave him our numbers as we ate a bowl or more of some delicious new world grub. He told each of the creatures what the plan he had in mind was. But he never did tell us. He even wrote a letter, most likely addressed to Prince Rain because he had given it to Solar, the turtle, who was coming with us to the palace.

After we were done eating, the food stall owner came over to talk.

“You have to save the prince and make him king!” We all turn our heads and she takes her cloak’s hood off.

“Princess Theori!” The dragon walks up to her, “I’ve been waiting for you to reveal yourself. Welcome back to the fight.”

“Thanks Eclipse. After hiding away for so long after I faked my death. I’m finally back.”

“You faked your own death?”

“I did. After my younger brother’s plan to overthrow me as heir to the throne, I had faked my death. Even though I’m in the favour of the people.”

“So what made you reveal yourself? And now of all times?”

“The next generation of Aces, of course!”

“Us? How did we get you to come?”

“If your here, you can help us win the the war. If your on our side, we don’t have to hide.”

“But why now?”

“Because your here and have the carriages. It will only be a 12 hour ride to the princes palace and you have everyone but Eclipse, Vantrogan and I going with you. It’ll take me 24 hours to get to my hometown so give the prince the letter as soon as you meet him. Everything you need is already in the carriage and any thing else you may need will be at the palace.”

“Understood!”

“Eclipse, it’s time to head out. Are you ready?”

“Ready as ever. It’s time to get back what it rightfully yours. It’s time to go home.” Princess Theori gets in the dragon pull carriage and Eclipse attaches himself to the front and they take off down the road.

“I guess it’s time for you all to take off too.” He texted us all the rules of being in the palace and rules with addressing the prince. “I wish you all to be safe, Aces!”

We all nod and get into our carriages. Vantrogan takes Twilight with him to recruit King Aries to our cause and they go together. It will take 24 hours to get to him as well it’s just in the other direction than the way Theori went.

I never got to look through the carriage before but now that I have 12 hours to explore it I notice it was so much bigger than it looks.

I had my phone read my the text so I didn’t have to take the extra time to read it on top of exploring.

I found a closet full of clothes that look like they match the theme of “from a prestigious family”, they also looked my size. So I asked Hydra, “Are these clothes for me?”

“They are indeed. They once belonged to your father’s best friend, Edmond. One of the first generation Aces. He was also a pyro. So he often wore purple clothes because the fires he made were usually red and I was blue. He wanted his clothes to reflect the reality.”

“I love that, I also agree that purple is the best way to go. But is everything in here Edmond’s?”

“No there are somethings we got just for you. Like the stuff in the trunk and on the table. Go explore and see if you like anything.”

I changed my clothes into some pyjamas and explored a bit more. There was a bed, the closet, a kitchenette, a small living room and the trunk. I haven’t looked at the thinks in the trunk or opened the presents on the table but I was tired so I went to bed.

I woke up and realized I went through all the rules in my sleep and I remembered the majority of them. We still had about 2 hours until we reached the palace. I decided to open the present on the table first.

It was wrapped in a delicate fabric, 100% pure purple silk maybe. Tied with a blue ribbon and a card seal with red wax.

I pulled one of the edges of ribbon and the entire ribbon came off easily.
