Palace Gates

As the entire ribbon fell to the table so did the card. I decided to open the card first. It read: ‘Dear Hydra Ace, your carriage is water proof, it can turn into a boat or a submarine. But it can also be used on land. Some how Hydra and the others managed to use land as a second element even if they were not originally able to be on land. You are lucky, you have become the successor to Edmond Lonnel, the previous passenger of Hydra’s carriage. Things have changed since Edmond and the others died and the remaining 4 Aces left this world to return to your own. But let me just give you a run down tutorial of the carriage and how it works.” It goes on about how to use it, but I don’t think you’d want to hear like 3 pages of instructions. But when I got to the end of the letter it said, “In the box we gift you the seal of the Hydra Navy commander, an ear piece to let you contact the other Aces and Prince Rain. Welcome to the world of Arcaméa and sorry you had to join the war so quickly. I’ll await your arrival at the palace.” What a long letter. I connect the ear piece to my glasses and call all the other our group, they all had done the same. “You guys ready to join the fight?” I asked, Hannah and Cameron nodded. Eli had a hint of hatred in his eyes, “Let’s get revenge for Cali Kirmian. The previous Tornado Army Commander.” I nod, “And Edmond Lonnel, the previous Hydra Navy Commander.” “Let’s do this!” Cam said, more loudly than they should have. “For our parents!” Hannah exclaimed, but in her normal tone. “For our parents!” We all repeated back to her. “So, who has already opened the trunk?” I asked the others. “Not me.” “Or me.” “Me neither.” “On the count of 3?” “On 3.” They agreed. “1.” “2.” “3.” We all opened our chests and noticed insanity inside. It was our bunkers in the trunk. And they were full. Of a bunch of odds and ends, a ton or 2 of Cëpoigon each and tools. I put my legs over the edge of the trunk and jump in. It was either it was the same bunker or an exact replica. No it couldn’t have been a replica because mom was in there. “You knew?” I asked. “I did, we all did. Where did you come from?” “I jumped through the trunk in the Hydra Carriage. Found out about your other world. Storm Navy Commander Ace.” Mrs. Carmichelle looked shocked, “How did you know about that?” “Your friends needed help but you guys didn’t go so we did. Their king died and his son is refusing to marry. The Pyrothons are planning more than just taking Arnold Vantrogan’s crown.” “No it can’t be, we destroyed the Pyrothons. No you didn’t, not completely. And now they plan on taking over the world. Now if you’ll excuse me we have to meet the prince.” I finished talking with my mom and left to where I cam down. “Hydra!” Hydra called to me and told me how to exit by stomping twice. I did it and it pulled me out. “You stocked our bunkers and provided portals to them?” “It wasn’t just me, the prince and other royals helped too. Now get changed your about to meet the prince. We have about half an hour left.” “How do you wear these clothes?” Pick an out fit and go into the change room. The carriage will do the rest.” I went and picked out an appropriate outfit. It was literally an outfit called Pleased To Meet. I think that’s appropriate. “Welcome to the Palace!” Hydra woke my up from a day dream. We stopped outside the Palace gates. “This place is huge.” I left the carriage and waited outside for someone to open the gate. The others weren’t far behind. But Lunar got there first because he didn’t have to worry about teaching a new Ace plus he could could fly directly there. After all 5 of the creatures pulled up and the people in town seen the carriages of the Aces and came out to greet us. We got out and waved to the people. Somewhere in the middle of that mess, someone came and opened the gate to the palace. Someone started cheering. “The Aces are back, the Aces are back!” The whole town joined in. This got me excited. Growing up I never thought I’d be someone who could make a change but here I just exist and people are changed. We got here and everyone seemed depressed and had their hope drained from their very souls. But now they were energetic, happy, smiling and laughing. We will win this war no matter what it costs. I promised, we all promised. For the dead, and our parents! We smile and waved one last time before we each hoped back inside our carriages and rode into the palace grounds.
