“Is there anything else we can help with?”
“Cam, Hannah designed the cards. But can you help her figure out what to write on them? Make it as beautifully written as possible but somewhat hint hinty if you can. Maybe a poem or a riddle or both. Up to you what to say. As long as you get the details.”
“Yeah I can do that. You know I love a challenge, I’ll get Hannah and Eli both to proof read before printing it.”
“I’m sending the details... now.” I did it through the glasses which I keep forgetting to take off.
“Does someone want to deal with picking out music to play? We have a few traditional wedding song we have to play but there’s only like 3. That won’t last the night.”
“We also need someone to Mc the night.”
Cam volunteers for Mc position and Eli takes up the role of DJ Carmichelle. Hannah added her own extra role which technically we needed anyway, the ring bearer.
We got a text from Arnold saying Aries is confirmed as an Ace. With his phone number as an attachment. We opened a group chat with all 7 of us plus Arnold.
I text back, ‘We got the Prince to become engaged to someone. You’ll be surprised when you see that person walking down the isle.’
We all burst out laughing and Theori texts back. ‘Can’t wait to see it.’
I message Theori personally, ‘Can you make the wedding outfits? The wedding is at the end of the week, I know it’s short notice but we have all the criteria for the outfits ready so you can make them on the way back.’
‘I’d be more than happy to make the outfits. Send me the criteria and I’ll start them when I wake up. I’m heading to bed now but everything is well. I am now queen, and I’ll have the outfits ready for you.’
I send her the criteria and a rough estimate of our measurements. I’m really happy, this means we are really far ahead of schedule. So I made a new one. Since we had a group chat, we could use that to access personal messages for all Aces plus Arnold.
Why does that sound like a kid’s musical? Arnold and the Aces... okay that was side tracked. My apologies.
No one but me know what I asked Theori for in terms of outfits, I’m going to surprise them all. Rain’s outfit is a suit from back home but all rainbows. Oh come on. I know he said he’ll decide later but really? I know he’ll like it. But my outfit? Not the outfit they think I’m going for.
“That’s everything for the wedding. If you guys can do what you’ve volunteered for, we will be golden.”
They nod and go back to their rooms. And we go back into Rain’s room. I sat at the desk with 10 of the original 1000 printed cards. Hannah used the portals to send them to Eli’s room plus she printed more cards so she and Cam can make 2000 other cards.
I guess I have to write invitations for Hannah, Cam, Eli even if they already confirmed that they would be there. Plus I have to make an invite for Aries, Arnold and Theori. On top of the ones I have to make for mom and dad plus the Kantims.
I wrote Eli’s first;
Dear eldest brother,
I am pleased to be announcing to you of my wedding. It will be taking place at...
yadda yadda blah blah blah. Boring right?
I wrote the same thing to Cam but wrote a different beginning;
My dear adopted sibling.
And for Hannah’s I wrote,
My dear future sister-in-law.
Hannah and I always joke like this when Cam and Eli aren’t around. Hannah knows Cam likes Eli and I know Eli likes Cam. Hannah and I shared the information with each other but not them. They’ll figure it out on their own.
Then I put
Your dearest brother, Mars.
At the end of each of the letters. Then I wrote the ones for Aries, Theori and Arnold.
Dear King Arnold, Dear King Aries, Dear Queen Theori.
Wrote all the same middle content. The who, what, why, when and where. I wrote that the prince was getting married after trying to find a person he now has a betrothed and that they were to get married not specifically identifying myself as the betrothed. And signed,
I sincerely hope to see you there, Marshal.
Rain and I agreed that I would be really funny to hide it from people till the last minute possible so we get the greatest reaction possible, little did he know I was anticipating his reaction the most.
For the families back home, I wrote the same thing I wrote for the other Aces but beginning differently.
Dear Mother
Dear Father,
Dear Mr. Kantim
Dear Mrs. Kantim,
That was how they began. I even signed the same on the bottom.
I sincerely hope to see you there, Marshal.
I sealed them all with the wax seal of the Hydra Ace and sent them. The ones to the Aces went to their rooms because they already know they are invited, the ones to Arnold went to where they were planning on having lunch a days and a half time from now.
