  Ava POV   A bright ray of light streaming through the window pierced my eyes, rousing me from my unconscious state. As I stirred awake, my memories came flooding back, and I recalled the events that led me to this place. I couldn't help but feel a surge of anger and frustration towards myself for leaving the safety of the gathering.
