Crystal was caught aback by Prince Khalil's love words, he could barely believe his eyes, and though this is absurd, like totally absurd.
'Why will he like her lips for heaven's sake?' Crystal questioned herself rolling her eyes.
Khalil used the alcohol in his hand to soak the cotton with it before replacing it in the small box. He knew the thing was going to hurt, but he decided to keep it for himself, he didn't want to frighten her that much, especially when he doesn't know if she is good with such things or not.
Advancing with the cotton towards her wound, Khalil gently dabbed it on her wound, staring at her with a long glance douting what her reaction will look like.
At first, when the alcohol touched Crystal's face, she did not react in the beginning, the liquid was cold on her forehead, and when a light breeze blew across her head, she felt the actual pain.
It shot through her entire body, and she cried in pain.
"Ahh! you are killing me, why did you put that thing on my face? please, remove it, just pull it out now or I will pass out from the pain," Crystal blurted out crying.
She used her free hands to grab Khalil's wrists, trying to push them away from her face.
"Hey! Calm down, Crystal, the pain will calm down, relax," Prince Khalil said.
As if he knew about it, the pain died out immediately. Crystal was now panting, she felt like the pain was really going to kill her, but it has gone now, nothing is felt but the slight pain that was there at first.
"Holy Cow! what the hell was that you used on my head? it is horrible," she said twisting her face.
Khalil wore a long face, not wanting to laugh at Crystal, all she did was t sit there and stare at her as if he didn't have anything to tell her, but the moment he thought it wise to share what he had applied on her wound to her, he started, hoping that it pleases her.
"Well, what I just used on your wound is known as spirit or alcohol, mostly used to kill any first-hand bacteria on your, and help with the fact that infections wouldn't come to your wound immediately," prince Khalil explained.
The look that Crystal had on her face when Khalil was done sharing his information was priceless. A look at her and one would know that she has not understood anything of what was being said.
"Dummy," Khalil exploded laughing.
He just used a term that is mostly used for people who don't get explanations quickly, and it is mostly for fun. He thought Crystal will not recognize the word, but she was fast in noticing it and shot him a glare that said everything.
"Please, don't apply anything on my wound that will pain me please, I am just begging," Crystal said.
She didn't know what is in prince Khalil's box, but all she prayed for was the fact that she shouldn't use anything that will make her cry. No, she didn't want that.
Her reaction only ended with teasing coming from the prince because he couldn't help himself but laugh. He definitely found pleasure in laughing at her.
"Stop laughing, it makes me feel stupid," Crystal exploded.
This time, prince Khalil did stop, but it didn't stop his eyes from cringing fine lines of laughter. There is no way that he is going to say anything that will piss her off, so he respected her rules and behaved maturely.
"Alright, Crystal, I wouldn't laugh at you, I am not even supposed to laugh with you or even come close to you, but then, I have a caring heart, no matter what you did, or what they said you did, I will brush it aside for now because it doesn't matter now. The first priority now is putting a plaster on your wound, and I promise, it wouldn't hurt anymore, this is a promise," prince Khalil blurted out.
Prince Khalil's words warmed Crystal's heart, it even caused her eyes to crease a little bit, making her feel like she wanted to cry.
She had not killed the prince, no, that was not what had happened, and the commander was there only to lie in her name. But who will believe her when only the both of them were present in the hall? he knows the truth, it is obvious.
"What are you thinking about?" Khalil asked bringing his face close to hers.
"Nothing," she lied blinking severally, wishing that the tears in her eyes will disappear before he notices it.
"Nothing? come on, Crystal, I am not a baby, so please, do not lie to me," he said.
This time, Crystal forced a small smile to play around her lips, she just wanted to distract him, so that he would not know what the actual deal is.
"I am not lying to you," she murmured.
She wondered how she could lie and remain this calm. When the prince did not urge her to say anything, she was thankful for her stars that knew well to stop him from throbbing her with several questions.
In silence, prince Khalil continued his work. Looking for plaster, Khalil used scissors to cut it in the desired shape, making sure that it was bigger than the wound and more comfortable.
The next thing he did was to cut a patch of cotton before he brought it towards her face.
Putting the cotton first to draw the slimy liquid that came out from her wound, he advanced on placing the plaster on her forehead.
"I'm done, just be careful so that you don't add more injuries to your body, I wouldn't forgive you, okay?" he said sternly.
Crystal could not respond, she felt like a lump had appeared in her throat, trying to stop her from talking. What she did was nod her head.
Everything was done now, and they were settled, Crustal wondered what next he is going to bring as an activity to bother her life with it. Just thinking about it made a bright and innocent smile Flash on her face.
"What is funny?" Prince Khalil asked.
It was a small question, but then it had great effects on Crystal, especially as she blushed profusely.
"Funny? nothing is funny please," Crystal muttered.
She tried maintaining her simple face, and it worked perfectly.
Prince Khalil just kept admitting Crystal, he could barely offer a word to her, in fact, he didn't want to leave her side just now. Her presence has made him be more than entertained, he likes everything she does, and even though it is so annoying, he always knows how to twist it out to look the fine way in his life.
Suddenly, he swirled his head around, looking at the room, and for heaven's sake, it looked improper and
unkept, as if she lived in a pigsty.
"This room..." he started but broke off to look at it well.
Crystal stared at it too, and she blushed once more. She could hardly believe that she had scattered this room to be in manner, just glaring at it now made her crease her face in frustration because it is more than what she thought.
Sighing, she could barely think about anything that she had done in this room, when she did it, she wasn't even thinking correctly, her mind was totally blown off and drawn toward quenching her anger, and the only means she could fight back that evil force trying to swallow her is to put this room in a disorganized state.
Now that it is like this, she didn't still have that sense of fulfillment.
"I am sorry, I put the room in this state," Crystal apologized.
Crystal has suddenly discovered that she has this gracious effect she places prince Khalil on each time she apologizes. I worked the first time she had asked for forgiveness, and he seemed soft towards her, so she decided to shoot jer shot once more, no one knows, it might work well for her this time.
Unfortunately for her, Khalil wasn't touched by her meager apology, she needs to do more if he wants him to forgive her, and that will not be an easy task, especially as he started provoking her.
Instead of prince Khalil to accept her apology so that they can forget about the issue, he decided to provoke her for a while, he needs to tease all the corners of this crazy lady.
"You are sorry? come on Crystal, why are you apologizing to me when while you committed this abominable act, I was not there with you, huh?" he inquired.
Prince Khalil used his eyes to peruse through the lady's face, he wanted to see if she truly meant what she is saying, or was just finding an escape route for herself, she needed to know that.
Crystal started sweating immediately, she always does so when she is under stress, and this is the perfect time to define stress according to her dictionary__ trying to apologize and the person does not want to accept her apology.
It is quite frustrating especially as it was kind of an easy thing for the prince to dismiss it away, yet he brought it once more to frustrate her life, nothing was more than her throbbing mind right now.
Crystal did her best to avert his eyes from Khalil's own, she didn't want to face him when the words escape her lips.
"In as much as the act is abominable, I still apologize, you can punish me if you want," Crystal said.
Raising a brow, Khalil looked at her weirdly.
