Crystal stared at Prince Khalil nonchalantly, she pretended like the words he said didn't have an effect on her.
"You stink," Khalil added shooting daggers at her.
She didn't want to say this, but then, Khalil only added words that will make her grow mad, he only said things that will make her feel stupid.
When Crystal had had enough of the prince, she looked at him straight in the eyes as she prepared to shoot her venom out of her mouth aiming straight at his heart to bruise it.
"I will advise you to leave this dungeon right now, Prince Camel, I fear your beautiful nose might fall off from inhaling too much of these smells, don't kill yourself standing there whole exchanging words with me. I am as good as dead, but not you," Crystal shoots.
Khalil looked at her sternly, he had many things going on his mind, he wanted to tell her that his name is Khalil and not Camel, that is a lot of disrespect coming from a little figure like her.
Opening his mouth to talk, Commander Austin walked into the dungeon inhaling the stench of the room too, but do not let him bother him as he walked across the room towards Crystal's direction.
Before they could spot out what was going on especially Crystal which looked at the prince boldly in the face challenging him, did not see that coming.
Austin slapped Crystal across the face causing her to fall on the bed with a wail, as the tears poured out of her eyes.
She didn't let the pain on her face stop her from saying what she wanted to, the pain in her instead motivated him as she pushed her heavy dirty chestnut hair to the back, she looked at him challengingly.
"That's it, support the baby, why don't you allow him to fight for himself if he has power too? no, the big bad boy has to do it for him. Here is my cheek commander, strike,"
Crystal said showing Austin her cheek while she closed her eyes waiting for another blow. She knew this one will make her pass out, or still start a journey to the land of the death, so, she made a silent prayer hoping for the worst to happen.
The blow delayed as she expected it, and when she opened her eyes to spy on what was going on, she was caught aback by the actions that displayed themselves in front of her eyes.
Commander Austin's arms stood high in the air with Prince Khalil's hand around it holding it firmly from reaching Crystal.
Seeing this, she scrambled to the side of the bed in fear.
"Commander Austin, I said real men don't fight women, they battle with their own men. I will advise you never to raise an arm against a lady, talkless on this little wussy," he said pointing straight in Crystal's direction.
Crystal stared at him with wide eyes, she looked like she was going to pass out, especially as all the blood from her eyes had been extracted, and she was as white as a ghost.
"But... Prince Khalil, this lady is disrespecting you in every way possible, just let me show her where she belongs," Austin said trying to reason things out with him.
His words caused Khalil to become mad at him, he was just saying pure jargon, and he needed it to be rectified as soon as possible.
"Commander Austin, I respect you a lot, but being a soldier and respecting your place will make me happy. You see this girl sitting here? she is my captive, I will punish her the right way and in every possible manner__trust me, just don't hit her, it makes me bitter in my spirit, I am the one who supposes to hit her in that manner, and I promise you, I will, so chill, relax, I will do the right thing," he explained.
Austin opened his mouth to say something but was once more silenced by the prince as he raised his hands asking for peace.
"Safe your details for yourself, Austin," he said.
Swirling his head to look at Crystal, he scanned through her body.
To say that she looked shabby is an understatement, the pain of not bathing for a long time is something beyond reasoning.
Sighing, Prince Khalil looked at Crystal in frustration, there was a lot he wanted to say to her but he couldn't just say it now, especially as they will hurt her. But then, he wanted the words to pain her that is why he reserved them for later, much more later.
Prince Khalil has never had someone defiled his authority, even when the king was alive, he made in a way that he had utmost authority, everyone praised him, and he was good with everyone too.
But since he met this lady, though kt is their second time seeing one another in one week, she still had this ugly tone that showed her displeasing nature towards him.
'It is obvious that she hates me, but is it worth hating her too?' Khalil asked himself doubtfully.
Of course, the answer is always going to be no, he wouldn't hate her just because she likes him, that is absolutely not going to happen.
Khalil had a long thought with himself, the end product is going to be disastrous, so much that he dreaded to voice it out, but then, it is going to be in his interest, so it is obvious that he is going to definitely dive in with that choice, and where ever it leads him to, he will just abide by that rule.
In his mind, a serious debate was ongoing, as he feared whether it is worth saying it or not.
Staring at Crystal for a long time so much that it made her feel uncomfortable, he tilted his head towards the warder's
direction, ready to give him some orders.
"I would love you to take this lady to the castle, let the maids arrange a room for her, and also a way bath to clear way this foul odor from her body, then some clean clothes to change into," he ordered. Austin's mind was blown off, he was stroke with shock, he could not even believe his ears.
"Prince Khalil, you do not mean it, she is a criminal, our captive, she is as good as dead. Why don't you allow her to suffer her own predicaments? she killed the king remember? your father is dead because of this lady, she doesn't deserve your sympathy," he said trying his best to advise prince Khalil.
It is true that Khalil was making the wrong decisions, but then, it is better he makes his own decisions, he is surely going to learn from them, but hearing from another person will just make things complicated for him, so he definitely has to wait no matter what and make his own mistakes too.
The warder still stood there waiting for the prince to change his mind, especially after hearing what Commander Austin had just said. His behavior caused Khalil to grow mad at him.
"What are you still doing there? hurry now, let a room be prepared for this lady. And for the girl, commander Austin will bring her to the castle," he said adding the last part while glaring daringly at Austin's face.
He knew he is going to get mad at him, he just wanted something for him to quarrel about.
Ever since Prince Khalil became aware of the power he has, he knows how to use it wisely, and to his effect, he always tries his best to favor everyone, but if things aren't going on the way he plans it, then it is a bad sign, a totally bad one for that matter.
"Prince Khalil, you don't mean it right? how will you expect me to take this lady to the castle? it would be like bringing a thief into your own house," he said drawing comparisons, something Khalil was pleased to use against him.
"Well, she is not a thief and the castle is not your home. I will do well to advise you, Mr. Austin, don't poke your nose in my affair, you might get it stuck forever. Consider this as a piece of advice to me," he said arrogantly.
Crystal sat there glaring at the prince exchanging words with his Commander, to her, she was astonished especially as she was the reason why she argued.
In her entire life, she could never imagine that her life means anything to anyone not to talk about worth fighting for. Not anyone fought over her case, but a prince, someone she badmouthed recently, just thinking about it makes her heart to ache her.
Even though they debated over her case, she wondered if she really wanted to go into the castle with the prince, especially with his commander standing in their way.
Hmm! this matter was getting out of hands, and Crystal doubted if she was worth the fight.
Thinking about it, she decided to ask the question which only succeeded in raising another drama over her case.
"Prince Camel, am I worth the fight?" she inquired.
The way she called his name only made him swirl his head towards her side in anger as he corrected his name in her mouth.
"I noticed this is the third time today that you are calling me camel. I will give you the chance to know my name once, which is Prince Khalil and not camel. If you mess up with the name one more time, I wouldn't take it easy on you," he warned.
Rolling her eyes, Crystal shot at him, "I didn't give you the name, so I care less, prince arrogant," she said gritting her teeth.
