Chapter 6: Bewitching the Prince

1644 Words
Commander Austin constantly pushed Crystal in front, not wanting her to touch his body, even if it meant her filthy clothes, he didn't want it to c touch him. Prince Khalil trailed behind them, and when he saw the warder, he was pleased to announce his message to the prince. "A room has been found for the captive, my prince, I will lead the way now if you do not mind," he explains walking away. Prince Khalil replied with a nod of the head, his movement went slowly before arranging into place, he loved the way his plane was slowly advancing, and he had faith that it will do him well. When they mounted the first floor of the castle, they advanced their steps following the harder behind. Finally, he stopped at the door with brown oily paint on it. "Prince Khalil here is the room prepared for the captive," he said, bowed his head in honor, before leaving. Commander Austin looked at the prince now as if he had had a bump on his head. He didn't seem to be acting normally. "My Prince, maybe we are mistaking the room that the captive is supposed to leave in," he said grabbing Crystal by the arm, stopping her from walking. "Stay here, you b***h," he whispered to her. Flinching, the pain she sustained from her arms only gave her reasons not to move anymore. "If the warder said it is this room, then it is, why do you want to disobey it?" Khalil asked raising a brow. Commander Austin found it difficult to swallow his saliva, his throat became too tight for him to pass it down his throat. Deep in him, he knew everything wasn't on here, especially about how the prince supported this lady, she is an enemy for heaven's sake. 'This is entirely my fault, I should have killed her when I had the opportunity back then, yes, I should have killed her,' Austin lamented silently. Looking at prince Khalil, he wished he could bring good reasoning into his mind, but the way it looks like, things are difficult right now, and let this girl try to control the prince and future leader of the land is something to worry about. "Prince Khalil, this lady might be a sorceress, she might have bewitched you, see, you don't reason anymore like the prince whom I know before now, someone that will use his sword to chop off this lady's head from the rest her body," Austin said hauling her towards himself and staring at her boldly. "You disgust me," he muttered. If anything could make prince Khalil grow mad this evening, then it was the words that just left Austin's mouth. Had he known, he would never have pronounced those words, the last part is like a bomb that is aimed at escalating everything. "Allow the girl and leave my presence," he ordered his tone as deadly as never before. Austin didn't understand what was going on, the prince's sudden change of mood made him wonder if everything was alright. Opening his mouth, he tries defending himself in front of Prince Khalil, trying his best to understand what is going on. "Excuse me prince Khalil, but what do you mean by I should allow the girl and leave your presence," he inquired in confusion. Prince Khalil tried his best to withhold his anger, he didn't even want to say anything out of place, or commit an atrocious act that will make the lady in front of him scared of him, so, he tried his best to maintain his cool. "Commander Austin, I want to make myself clear today, so I urge you to listen, and listen keenly. You see this lady here? she is my captive and not yours, I will make her my doll, and she will be mine forever. Now, let me make this a sound warning to you, never you go close to her again, never in your entire life and I mean it," Khalil said spitting daggers at Austin. This made the old man open his mouth in shock, his ears have just heard the most unbelievable thing in history. There is no doubt that the girl he had in his hand has bewitched the prince of Mount Paragon, the prince is under her spell, and unless he does something about it, they might lose the prince the same as they lost the kind recently. "Prince Khalil, you are talking under the spell of the witch, I knew that she had something that is not natural, she needs to be killed..." at this time, he was. it short because he had just provoked Khalil, to him, it is a blow that cut across him in that ugly manner, and no matter what he tried to do, it is difficult to change the fact that he had just being insulted. "Austin, let the girl be and leave my presence now. She bewitched me and not you, let me enjoy being under her spell. Now, leave with immediate effect," Prince Khalil blurted out in anger. Commander Austin stood there in frustration, unable to decide whether he should walk away or not, it is just a difficult task to do, especially when the safety of the prince was placed in his hands, and the lady who is as cunning as a snake might take advantage over the prince. Sighing in frustration, he prostrated himself before the prince, looked at Crystal which he still had her wrists in his hands, and with eyes filled with scorn and disgust, he released his grip from hers. Walking away from the two people, he constantly looked behind, making sure that his prince was safe. To Austin, the safety of the royal bloodline is his first preoccupation. As a soldier, his life did not matter to him because when he decided to devote his life, energy, and strength to the crown and the citizens of Mount Paragon, and as long as he lives, he will fight till the last breathe, he needed to because that is the reason why he chose to become a soldier in the first place, to devote his life to the people of Mount Paragon. As he walked, he constantly stirred from across his shoulders, wondering if the prince is safe, of course, he could not be safe, at least not when he is in the hands of the witch that killed the king and has now succeeded in bewitching the prince. Unfortunately, Austin had to start climbing the stairs, so it became difficult for him to see Khalil standing there. So bad. Prince Khalil now stood in front of Crystal, stirring at her with wide eyes, unable to utter a word. Maybe his reaction was because this was the first time he was standing so close to a lady, but anyhow, no matter what the case is he feels like he should be the one to start a discussion. From Khalil's expression, it is evident that he wants to start a discussion, but then, he didn't know how to start it. The only thing he remembers and keeps at heart is that the lady is his captive from the battle that made his father, the king of Mount Paragon to lost his life. Therefore, having her is just like inhaling the smell of victory, if she is the only thing that the Soldiers had brought alongside the king's corpse, that means that she is a sign of victory to her people. Who knows? maybe it is fate that had made her come here, maybe she was a message the king was trying to tell his son. Yes, the formal king was wise so is his son. In a conclusion, there is no way that Prince Khalil is going to let her go, especially not now when he just met her. Khalil stood there staring at Crystal blankly, without a stare of hatred expressed in his features, he just didn't care for a minute that she was the murder of the king, he made it slip out of his mind so that he will personally think that he had forgotten it because he does not want it to bother him. "Why is this young man staring at me as if I have dirt on my face?" Crystal asked wiping her hands across her face in case any dirt patch was on her face. Blinking severally, he tried his best to place the image that stood in front of him in his mind. Prince Khalil could not stop admiring this pretty creature, and the fact that she stood a few paths away from her made it kind of difficult to shrug it off his shoulders. But then, if he doesn't get a grip of himself, the lady before him might start thinking differently about him, and that is something he can not deny it. An idea immediately stroke into Khalil's mind, he is going to be extremely mean to the girl standing in front he does not want her to think something else, so he started it. "Whether you have dirt on your face or not, it doesn't concern me, and I think that shouldn't be your problem now, what should be is how to take care of your breath, it stinks, and it is very unhealthy, even for yourself, so I will advise you to take your time to brush properly, in order to stop yourself from standing in front of the Prince of Mount Paragon and be this disgusting. You aren't fit to be five inches close to me, therefore, I will advise you to stay as far as possible away from me, Thank you," prince Khalil said concluding his sentence. The shock on Crystal's face was evident, she didn't expect half of what she just received from this horrible prince.
